  • Im arthur roseberys grandson but never met him :( hes a big inspiration to me though and always will be!

  • @Cabreraozi345 He is one of my favourite bandleaders. I've most of his Parlophone recordings. Have recently uploaded his version of "I'm on a diet of love".

His records are not easy to find but they are a joy to hear.

  • I'm afraid I find this version far too fast.

  • This version is much better than that done by the New Mayfair D.O. which is the version I have (together with the Binnie Hale version). This much more up tempo than both those. Thanks for posting this - I really enjoyed listening to this version.

  • Charmingly presented and what a jolly tune * thanks for posting !!

    * This is now familiar to most modern viewers from Sting's rendition fromthe Brimstone and Treacle soundtrack!

  • At last some an Arthur Rosebery record.Very fine band.Great arrangements.l think this would sound better on an electric player as the bass is lost. But many thanks for posting a terrific band

  • I always prefer to hear the music as it was originally played. This de luxe Columbia portable captures the period charm.

  • I have the same Columbia portable, and boy it sure is a wonderful machine!

  • I have just looked at your gramophone and it looks like new. It is the best portable model and gives a great tone to the record. Thank you for your comment.
