I personally think this song means that it takes a lot for us to trust God. He may ask us to do things that to the world look crazy and stupid. We get into the rut of thinking that we can live our daily lives and work through our tribulations on our own. But we need the Lord. God can never change; He will always be faithful. We're Christians. We're crazy and we know it. Listening to His voice 'isn't' safe, and that's okay with me.

I think that "Love isn't safe" means that if we're gonna love someone we have to take a risk. There's the chance of getting hurt cause people aren't perfect. Even though God's love is perfect, the mentality that loving someone will bring pain isn't completely going to disappear. Because trust has been broken and that takes time to mend.

But Britt has finally discovered that God's love is worth the risk cuz he never hurts us to get back at us, pain comes from getting rid of the sin in our lives

People who undergo things like divorce, abuse, and deprivation usually hide from love because love tends to plow down the walls your fears have built up in the years that you have made them. I have to deal with just this...after a history of divorces and watching my father get drunk and swearing at me it is hard to love like everyone else. I tend to hold on for a long time and endure rejection for many years. It's hard, but then again...isnt love always? But God shows us it's worth it.
