So true, I hate when I see spoilt brats at shows just handing the pony to their groom. One time I actually saw someone get off a pony and just walk away from it and complain to their parents that its not good enough and they want a new one -.-, If I said that my mother would sell it straight away, and there wouldnt be another! Ive never had a made pony, unless you count the 19 yr old i had when I was 7, but I dont think that really counts haha :) <3 all you vids, so inspiring!! :) xx Greyhorse95

NOTE: I know this video has created some opinions, which is fin but i just wanted to say that although I am not at a big boarding stable I still respect those who are as I know that school and riding along with other things can be a big time suck. But come on guys, thats no excuse. Can you just take one second to sit there and pet your horse instead of jumping off, handing it to the groom and going home?

This is lovely! & your so true, I don't understand people have that, why would you wanna ride if you don't wanna spend that time that build up a bond with your horse, the other week there was something wrong with my saddle, a gesp or something & my teatcher asked, ooh is that your grooms fault, and I said; no I have a horse so I also do all the work, she did not know what to say cuz in my manége the most have grooms when they go on competions, (:

Thats not the case & Im guessing you dont know what my daily barn routine is and how things work at my barn, so I wouldnt be assuming anything. horse riding isnt all about sitting in the saddle and working with the horse .... you arnt a true rider if you dont spend time with your horse grooming, tacking and lunging and looking after him

i love this! and i love how you show that you do it all yourself. i knnow SO MANY people who pay the grooms at my barn to tack up, tack down, lunge, etc. it's horrible, because literally all they do is call the barn, come, ride, then leave. i can't stand it. :P

yeah! and i think most of the experience can come from ground work. i would bet that some of those riders don't even know how to do pretty simple things on the ground with their horses becsaue they don't even walk their own horse.

i agree with you also!! i have self-care of my two, and its the best feeling in the world knowing that they're being taken good care of. And i dont think all the stuck up ones at the big boarding barns are even "true" riders, because they just sit on a perfect horse and look pretty, while we actually have trained ours to that level :)
