ive got the blu ray version, i am pissed that i didnt get the directors cut but as far as picture quality its truly flawless, maybe ill try n find something on ebay...
I wish I had the Boomstick Edition. I just have bare bones Universal edition from the early era of DVD. I wish I also had the first two, any edition of the films. And I totally agree on not buying the Blu-ray. This is the thing that pisses me off about Blu-Ray, they have the maximum storage of 50GB per Dual Layer disc and you're telling me that you can't fit two versions of the same movie into one disc. With 50GB, you could put all three movies on one disc, which they can already do with DVD.
UPDATE: I got disappointing news Master Zaranyerak, apparently Universal has stripped off the big extras like the commentary and deleted scenes from the Screw-Head edition. Universal pulled this same stunt on Land of the Lost (disappointed face).
Yep, which is why I'm not buying it. I'll just stick with the far superior Boomstick edition (hey, it's not HD, but it's got it all content-wise, baby!) until a proper Blu-ray treatment of the movie comes out.
I know exactly what you're talkin about with Army of Darkness. At one time, I had a version recorded off of the Sci-Fi channel, which was different from the USA channel version, which both were different from the VHS version I had, which was also different from the director's cut only version I had.
Like you, I found the "Boomstick Edition" for 25 to 30 dollars at a used music/movie store. Mine was in pretty good condition also.
Well, we WERE at a little over 600 for my collection, and around 200 for Annetta's, but that's been reduced by maybe 50 or so from our recent selling off of stuff. I should really do a re-count one of these days...
there was also an x-files magazine and when the 2nd x-files film comes on dvd u can put it in the same case with the 1st film and tell me what is millenium and lone gunmen about?
It won't fit in the case, it's PACKED already. As for what the other two are about... Well, if you're not familiar with the X-Files, then you probably won't get why it's cool that they made the Lone Gunmen spin-off. As for Millennium, it was about a serial killer profiler (played by Lance Henriksen) who could see what the killer saw. He also belonged to a secret group that was working to save the world from the coming Apocalypse. VERY dark and scary as hell a lot of the time. I loved it.
im familiar with x-files.just didnt see any eps.only the movie.but i get the whole muldy and scully thing.that comic book superhero i came up wit is an invader zim spin-off.wit Dib as the hero!!!.
the old movie and i heard sumthin about the lone gunmen in the movie and did u kno that they used a fake title during production on of the original star wars movies and do u think it would be a good idea for an episode VII for star wars? and hows the weather in canada?
More shelves, or sometimes we just put some on their sides on top of rows we don't go into very often. But yeah, MORE SHELVES is something we'll definitely be looking into soon.
Niiice! Apparently, the movie was originally shot fullframe, the widescreen versions are actually cropped. So that's another big reason to grab the 3-disc version, since it has both versions! :)
Definitely strange, but a lot of what we see TODAY in television actually dates back to Twin Peaks. It doesn't look quite AS off-the-wall as it did back when it first came out, because back in 1990 when it debuted there was literally NOTHING that looked anything like it on TV. The whole thing of it looking more like a movie than a TV show (which is fairly commonplace now), basically started with Twin Peaks. Great stuff!
Thought I covered that a while ago - Annetta and I used to have high paying government jobs. during that time, we built up our collections massively. Since then, we just grab what we can when we have spare money. And yes, there were lots of X-Files comics. Notice the one in the set is a preview version of Issue 13. Many of them are now available in collected editions.

Sorry to hear about the damaged disc. Finding Army of Darkness cheap however makes up for it.

Hey Zaranyzerak, will you get the upcoming Screwhead Edition Blu-Ray, which seems to have all the features of the Boomstick DVD?

Yep. Which is why I'm sticking with my Boomstick edition until a proper deluxe edition comes out.

Twin Peaks was a different kind of tv show I thought. Strange but well-acted!
