I am with Good News Mission church and we preach the same gospel as Living Stream but they both are right. We are made righteous through Jesus and not by the works of our flesh. The Bible tells us that if we broke one law it is equal to all and that all us like sheep have gone astray. The Gospel is Biblical and correct.

I have also had problems with the writings of both Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, and even today here and there get offended by what they write. But I know that the basis of their writings are truth. There is light and life and in the end that's all that matters.

They sue him for millions in secular court!!!

Its false and is a lie! The translation does not correspond to any other translation. I am not simply talking about the footnotes. There are some words that are changed to interpret the Trinity, God Father, son, and holy spirit in a different way. I will have to check and see if I have this book. I get a witness in my spirit to much of his teachings. Its important to test the spirits. Don't lie!!! The Lord's Recovery didn't just appeal to Caesar (like the pharisees) in China. They did it to people in United States of America. They sued a man Neil Duddy because he wrote a book about them. They sued that man for a very large sum which has bankrupted the man. They sued him in a secular court. The loss of life of brothers in China is horrible. But the ends do not justify the unbiblical means. When accused by the Jews Jesus remained silent, he didn't plead with Pilate. Once again, if you believe suing someone is ok if they called your church a cult then Catholics are justified in using violent means against those who call them church of the devil. However, suing Mr.Ruddy, who was not a millionaire, is not the only thing your masters did. There were many others sued.

Further Talks on the Church Life and The Orthodoxy of the Church were also monumental expositions of spiritual light and nourishment. I think the best Christian book I have ever read is The Experience of Life by Witness Lee.

What the Lord is telling Nicodemus in order for us to enter the kingdom of God, we need to be born of the Holy Spirit. The term 'born again' in its spiritual significance is the result of a sinner receiving God's life into his human spirit by openly confessing that Jesus is his Lord and Saviour. Thus to be born again is to have the divine, eternal life as the new source and new element of a new person.
StopFear the answer to your question about how can one be born again? In John 3 a Pharisee by the Nicodemus asked the very same question you asked to the Lord. Verse 4 says "Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Some new memebers don't even knows this because the older members don't talk about it directly. Recovery Church believes that salvation can only occur if someone goes to their church, which they would call a local church. Other churches are called "Whores of Babylon" and therefore people in them cannot be saved. That is a fallacy that is unBiblical. Likewise recovery church believes in modalism.
StopFear and all those in confusion: 1st, there is no such thing as "Recovery Church". 2nd, Rom. 10:9-13 shows us how to be saved. 3rd. How many churches were there in Jerusalem? And in Antioch? How about in Cenchrea? Tip: Act. 8:1; 13:1; Ro. 16:1. Any born again christian is saved, regardless of where he/she may attend, and is considered a brother or sister. Whatever God rejects, we as His sons must also reject, whether is the RCC "SYSTEM", or any teaching, practice, or tradition in it.

Yes, I've personally been to more than one meeting. I totally agree that the people there appear genuine. But genuine doesn't make right. Catholics or Mormons can be genuine and even teach Christians on some things, but we know that they're wrong.

Catholics do not beileve in salvation by faith. I checked their catechism. I went to Recovery meetings about 4 or 5 times. I dont hate the brothers, I want to advise the brothers so they dont get lost. For me there is no "real" church as an organization. I believe a person could go to any Bible believing church and be saved if they believe that the only way to be saved is by believing in Jesus Christ. People are absolutely corrupt with sin, so are unable to save themselves without Him.
You are wrong. Just because someone says a person receives salvation from Jesus, does not mean they are not a cult. For example Roman Catholics say exact same thing, they say you get salvation from Jesus, but we know that is not what they do in reality. Charismatic Pentecostal churches also say you receive salvation only from Jesus, yet we know they do many wrong things, which aren't Christian. Same thing with "Lord's Recovery Group", saying you're of Christ, doesn't mean you're right
First of all, what witness lee founded is not the same as what watchman nee did in China. Watchman Nee is one of the most solid Christian brothers you will ever hear of and to try to put them together as though they are the same is a great injustice. Witness Lee knew Nee but strayed from his pure teachings and his "Lord's recovery" DID become cultish. However they do NOT believe that you HAVE to go to their church to be saved, only that you are in babylon if you remain in the denominations.
I agree on what you said about Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Although you say that memebers of "Lord's Recovery" don't believe that to be saved you have to be a member of their church, please check again. Ask one of their older brothers if that is true. Their answer will most likely be: "yes , others can be saved, but only if they believe what we believe" then it leads to the conclusion if they do believe the same thing that they shouldn't associate with any denomination.
I was involved in the "Lord's Recovery" for several years two decades ago. At no time were we taught that somebody in the denominations weren't saved. As a matter of fact we were admonished to consider them our brothers and sisters because the church was "one". We were taught that the denominations were the "little harlots" the daughters of the "Great Whore" and to help others to know to "come out of her" which I still believe to be true. We were also taught that even some in the RCC were saved.

When I have finished reading this one, I will go on to read: "The latent power of the soul" as well as "The spiritual man"... This man is a mentor to those who never even knew him... This man was trully blessed by God...
no duh! nobody said watchman nee wasn't a sinner, so was paul a sinner and peter. What's your point? He was also a great christian brother who gave his life and freedom up for the Lord, & for the church. He spend incredible amounts of time in the word and prayer and had such a deep intimacy with the Lord, his writings reflect such a deep knowledge and understanding of the deep things of God. He is truly a brother who had the "mind of Christ" and was sensitive to the leading of the Lord's spirit.

Its false and is a lie! The translation does not correspond to any other translation. I am not simply talking about the footnotes. There are some words that are changed to interpret the Trinity, God Father, son, and holy spirit in a different way. Also, there is a word change which allows Local Church to teach that people get spiritually and physically resurrected here, in this world. Not after the rupture.

I will have to check and see if I have this book. I get a witness in my spirit to much of his teachings. Its important to test the spirits. But this doing good works in the flesh is somethiung that I know I am guilty of. It keeps me from receiving the peace and rest that is ours in Christ. O to be completely dependent on Him......

Brother Nee's response to those who spread false rumours about him and misrepresented him is also true to the local church. "The [Local Church] portrayed by them [we] would also condemn."

Don't lie!!! The Lord's Recovery didn't just appeal to Caesar (like the pharisees) in China. They did it to people in United States of America. They sued a man Neil Duddy because he wrote a book about them. They sued that man for a very large sum which has bankrupted the man. They sued him in a secular court. When they could not sue him in USA they used courts of other countries. Bible speaks by itself because its true, not because Caesar said so.

A lot of members of Recovery Church who comment on this video dont realize that those of us who say something negative about Witness Lee dont have much against Watchman Nee. Also you guys either fail to see or ignore the fact that the "local church" organization has gotten into the habit of Suing people in secular court to resolve theological disagreements! Give Caesar what is Caesars dont resolve theological disagreements in secular court! This is very important to know!

But at the same time if the Lord makes it clear to us to appeal to Caesar for the sake of the testimony of His church - especially those members in China who were being jailed and martyred - then we must. Sure, if the Christians' civil freedom is oppressed then you appeal to secular court (caesar), but when it comes to theological accusations, your church has no right as Christians to sue and bankrupt those individual men who said you were wrong.

Over 70 USA Christian leaders had written an open letter on the web challenging the local churches of various doctrines in which finally the local church had a way to reply to - All the answers satisfied the 70 accussers that the local churches are doctrinely correct and sound. Paul appealed to Festus for protection from Jews not to prosecute and punish Jews. the ministry that publishes recovery version sued mr. Duddy for many thousands of dollars. it was an offensive appeal to secular court. if the members of Lords Recovery Church had a Biblical doctrine scripture itself would defend it.

The loss of life of brothers in China is horrible. But the ends do not justify the unbiblical means. When accused by the Jews Jesus remained silent, he didn't plead with Pilate. Once again, if you believe suing someone is ok if they called your church a cult then Catholics are justified in using violent means against those who call them church of the devil. However, suing Mr.Ruddy, who was not a millionaire, is not the only thing your masters did. There were many others sued.

@StopFear they wrote books which damaged not just the truth but even more the lives of many Christians. i believe they were formally asked to withdraw these books for the sake of the preservation of the brothers and sisters. had they considered their being Christians and having brothers getting punished for nothing, they wouldnt have gotten sued. its as simple as that. mind you, it wasnt the biblical doctrine that defended Paul, it was his appeal and the grace of God that kept him.

The Glorious Church by Watchman Nee took the veil away from my eyes to see the Christian faith as never before. Further Talks on the Church Life and The Orthodoxy of the Church were also monumental expositions of spiritual light and nourishment. I think the best Christian book I have ever read is The Experience of Life by Witness Lee.

The Release of the Spirit, by Watchman Nee is my very favorite book, and completely changed my life and taught me to descern between flesh and spirit, completely altering my Christian walk and bringing me to a place where I could really "know" Christ. I thank God for this book.

What the Lord is telling Nicodemus in order for us to enter the kingdom of God, we need to be born of the Holy Spirit. The term 'born again' in its spiritual significance is the result of a sinner receiving God's life into his human spirit by openly confessing that Jesus is his Lord and Saviour. Thus to be born again is to have the divine, eternal life as the new source and new element of a new person.

Verse 4 says "Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? God is uniquely one but- three in one- the Father, the Son, and the Spirit (Matt 3:16-17;28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 2:18; 3:14-16; Rev 1:4-5) The Godhead is distinctively three, but the Father, Son and Spirit certainly are not three God's separately. The New Testament tells us definitely that God is one (1 Cor. 8:14; 1 Tim 2:5) God is absolutely one, that the Son is even called the Father (Isaiah 9:6) and that the Son is the Spirit (1 Cor 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:17).

Some new memebers don't even knows this because the older members don't talk about it directly. Recovery Church believes that salvation can only occur if someone goes to their church, which they would call a local church. Other churches are called "Whores of Babylon" and therefore people in them cannot be saved. That is a fallacy that is unBiblical. Likewise recovery church believes in modalism.

StopFear and all those in confusion: 1st, there is no such thing as "Recovery Church". 2nd, Rom. 10:9-13 shows us how to be saved. 3rd. How many churches were there in Jerusalem? And in Antioch? How about in Cenchrea? Tip: Act. 8:1; 13:1; Ro. 16:1. Any born again christian is saved, regardless of where he/she may attend, and is considered a brother or sister. Whatever God rejects, we as His sons must also reject, whether is the RCC "SYSTEM", or any teaching, practice, or tradition in it.

Don't pretend to not understand what "Recovery Church" or "Local Church" It is a group of people who call themselves "We are the lord's recovery" , use the "recovery version" of the BIble, believe that the only true meeting place for Christians is something called a "local church"

Sorry to bring this up again. I just read your comment and thought I will take a minute to clarify something. We, brothers and sisters, in the recovery, do not believe that local church is the only place where Christians can meet, some may say it, but it is because of the lack of understanding and perhaps immaturity. We believe that Christians can meet wherever they please as long as they worship the true God. Hope this helps.

Yes, I've personally been to more than one meeting. I totally agree that the people there appear genuine. But genuine doesn't make right. Catholics or Mormons can be genuine and even teach Christians on some things, but we know that they're wrong.

Catholics do not beileve in salvation by faith. I checked their catechism. I went to Recovery meetings about 4 or 5 times. I dont hate the brothers, I want to advise the brothers so they dont get lost. For me there is no "real" church as an organization. I believe a person could go to any Bible believing church and be saved if they believe that the only way to be saved is by believing in Jesus Christ. People are absolutely corrupt with sin, so are unable to save themselves without Him.

You are wrong. Just because someone says a person receives salvation from Jesus, does not mean they are not a cult. For example Roman Catholics say exact same thing, they say you get salvation from Jesus, but we know that is not what they do in reality. Charismatic Pentecostal churches also say you receive salvation only from Jesus, yet we know they do many wrong things, which aren't Christian. Same thing with "Lord's Recovery Group", saying you're of Christ, doesn't mean you're right

First of all, what witness lee founded is not the same as what watchman nee did in China. Watchman Nee is one of the most solid Christian brothers you will ever hear of and to try to put them together as though they are the same is a great injustice. Witness Lee knew Nee but strayed from his pure teachings and his "Lord's recovery" DID become cultish. However they do NOT believe that you HAVE to go to their church to be saved, only that you are in babylon if you remain in the denominations.

Although you say that memebers of "Lord's Recovery" don't believe that to be saved you have to be a member of their church, please check again. Ask one of their older brothers if that is true. Their answer will most likely be: "yes , others can be saved, but only if they believe what we believe" then it leads to the conclusion if they do believe the same thing that they shouldn't associate with any denomination.

I was involved in the "Lord's Recovery" for several years two decades ago. At no time were we taught that somebody in the denominations weren't saved. As a matter of fact we were admonished to consider them our brothers and sisters because the church was "one". We were taught that the denominations were the "little harlots" the daughters of the "Great Whore" and to help others to know to "come out of her" which I still believe to be true. We were also taught that even some in the RCC were saved.

I also know W.Lee's group by attending their church. Nevertheless it seemd not right u put W.Nee & W.Lee as same. As martiebaby mentioned there're big difference. I believe Watchman N.'s teaching very healthy & sound the most of the part. And it helped me a lot in my early Christian walk to develop a healty, solid faith in the Lord Jesus.

I unequivacably disagree with this paragraph. I consider it like the Pharisees white washing the tombs of the prophets. They imagined they would have never opposed the Spirit of God. The same Spirit working in Nee's ministry works in Lee's. Pure fantasy that somehow Lee deviated. God is moving on.

Christians of old were taught the difference between the works of the flesh and that of the Spirit which is lacking these days. I read Watchman Nee's books few decades ago and it has been a tremendous aid to my spiritual growth till this day. Praise the Lord!

I can not believe that I just watched this... not in the sense that it was a waste of time nor a pointless moment in my "every-day-life"... I am simply in aww of the awsome power and all knowingness of God... I just started reading "The release of the spirit" yesterday. When I have finished reading this one, I will go on to read: "The latent power of the soul" as well as "The spiritual man"... This man is a mentor to those who never even knew him... This man was trully blessed by God...

no duh! nobody said watchman nee wasn't a sinner, so was paul a sinner and peter. What's your point? He was also a great christian brother who gave his life and freedom up for the Lord, & for the church. He spend incredible amounts of time in the word and prayer and had such a deep intimacy with the Lord, his writings reflect such a deep knowledge and understanding of the deep things of God. He is truly a brother who had the "mind of Christ" and was sensitive to the leading of the Lord's spirit.
