I've watched a couple of your vids and love them...you are so straightforward and a good teacher! You have a great presence on video so keep letting us see you when you talk to us...part of the time :) You fit a lot into a short video. Thank you!
No need to be uncomfortable in front of the camera~! You are a natural and very inspiring. You've done a great job on this video and now I'm off to view more of them.
You have such a cool personality and make amazing videos. I agree with Spottylover, all the other tutorials I've seen were annoying. Your so real and don't act all happy happy fake(:
@ClandestineGirl16X heh :) there is no need to be happy fake when I love art! Check out my site art journaling (dot)ning (dot) com there are lots of non fake art journaling stuff
I thought you were fabulous in the video and the info was fantastic. Loved the time lapse and angles. One of the few videos that don't make me want to turn it off: you were not trying to be funny or cutesy. I hate cutesy.
Very cool. Some of the camera angles on the journal videos are so uncomfortable to watch but yours is perfect. It's more of a challenge for those who don't have a boom microphone stand lying around the house, lol. I like your stuff because you don't try to act cute or make it about you. I mute any music as I;m watching for how tos not a music video, you know? Good techniques and I can tell you have real artistic talent. Stay cool.
@Shaysailor something similar could be dummied up with a dowel a gorillapod and some clamps with a regular tripod. The gorilla pod can give some extreme angles and can be gripped about anywhere, and where it has issues it can be clamped in place. I happened to have the boom mic stand because my partner used to play piano and guitar. Though they can be found pretty cheap in pawn shops and craigslist.
@Skulleigh I get mine in the paint aisle at home depot, but places like big lots, ocean state job lot and other discount stores have inexpensive versions that work just as well for this light sanding job. I have them in a variety of grits too, fine for smoothing a page medium to get it smooth for painting and coarse to rough it up. If you try it I'd love to see pics!
You are making such great videos, Leslie...don't feel apprehensive about appearing on camera, you're doing awesome. This was great. I love learning new techniques and this is a great one to add to my repertoire. Thanks!
