  • great! I love this video and her dance, She is not fat, its a woman, woman must look as woman, not anorectic boy ;)

  • Wow! This is impressive! I have a lot of respect for a dancer who can play her zills like that!

  • i think she looks perfectly fine, just as it is rude to call someone fat, it is also rude to call someone anorexic, just because someone is thin does not mean they dont eat. its just as unhealthy to have too much fat as it is to be too thin. not that shes fat but too much belly fat is dangerous for your health.

  • She is so talented. Very nice!

  • Amazingly done!

  • Dayum! Very very VERY nicely done.

  • are finger cymbals expensive cansomeone tell me like an averagepricepls :) thank u

  • @jazzyboo216, there are finger cymbals which cost no more than 1 U.S. dollar. I found a set of 2 zills in a costume store which cost only $1.25.

  • For all those people who think she's fat, just remember.. it's called "Belly Dancing" for a reason.

  • I've seen a few myself..... and that's pretty good.

  • semplicemente fantastica! just fantastic!!

  • RESPECT!

    i wish i could that good :o

  • This woman is amazing!!! Good God she is good!!:)

  • anyone who says shes fat is retarded and prolly is either a girl that doesnt eat or a guy who likes a sack of bones for a girl. xD she did very well

  • Great job! I admire you! It's real show! perfect technic and finger cymbals skills!!

Hope to see more of your dances with finger cymbals

  • I would've pinned her down and poked her navel repeatedly when she was laying on the floor.

  • Great dance and technique...., but she is a bit too flabby....

  • @Farieclau thats the way she should look. it shows the movement better.

  • Wish i could play that well

  • she is not belly dancing lol she jelly dancing

  • to fat

  • Above, samba dance from Brazil!

  • i find the critics quite honestly annoying. She is beyond awesome! And being a bellydancer, we are usually mindful of our positions. but smetimes its pretty hard to be conscious all the time. She is awesome and i loved what she did!

  • she's really good. she just needs to watch her feet. certaain foot and hand gestures can be offensive to some cultures, and it would be terrible to diminsh potential customers due to ill-placed moves. overall good zilling.

  • I found mysel sitting at the computer clapping! What a wonderful and joy filled performance!

  • She's beautiful and wonderfully built.

  • Woo Hoo!!! nice!

  • Briliant! What a pleasure to watch. You are an extremely talented woman! I want to see more. I am a dancer too and you have inspired me to learn the Zills!

  • she can do both things at the same time..thats what i call Talent! ;)

  • @rohitrko999 whaahah why that?:p

  • Great , great performance♥♥

    We love it *___*

  • Wow that is my kind of woman and a great performance.

  • she is very nice

    excelente

    congratulations

    beautiful work

  • Wow! That is talented dancer! I don't have words for that... so amazing!

  • @rohitrko999, yo! TMI, dude!

  • What a fantastic performance! If ever I am half that good, I will die a happy woman. I could see six billion hours of practice behind every move, and beyond that just a great performer having a great time! Fantastic!

  • Amazing, I like this video!

  • Too plain looking. Nice costume though, but thats about it.

  • Belly dance is for all types. But it is hateful to say someone in Anorexic just because they are thin, just like it is hateful to call someone fat.

    Greetings from Delaware

  • Bellydance is Love.. Not appereance xD .. soo if you dance it .. do it just for love :D .. it would be great .. because you gotta enjoy it!! .. Just enjoy it and your body does the rest! .. I <3 BELLYDANCE!

  • Holy crap, I need to practice more O.O *runs grabs zills*

  • @Dreammystic lol me too

  • She's so great!!

  • It's really fantastic and amazing!

    I'm impressed!

  • Love ya Amina. Feel blessed to know you and have danced in so many shows with you. Which show was this? I'll bet I was there.

    Much love, Tahara

  • What kind of zills are these? I love the sound.

  • plus if you look at her she's aged she's not a 20 year old expected to have a young tight body as you age you get looser skin gosh all you that saying she's fat when you get old you cant help but get "fat" looser skin fat pockets you name it even if you exercise the skin is not as young and tight and some other generation will make fun of you lol maybe

  • get a life stop pointing out other's flaws to hide yours

  • The reason we see mostly skinny bellydancers here is because everything in the U.S. is all about skinny people. Bellydance is about ALL body types, unfortunately, the "melting pot" of the world does not always reflect the variety of body types as well.

  • never seen anything better before!

  • how does she mover her hips like that?

  • Excellent solo

  • THIS WOMAN GIVE CLASS!!SHE IS THE BEST

  • come one, as if she isn't amazing! That was the most incredible zill playing I've ever seen, and without music! As for all the comments about body shape, it's not about the body. It's about how well you dance. I'm a skinny dancer and i don't think people should discriminate against me saying i'm too skinny to be a bellydancer, but I also don't think people should discriminate about bellydancers who are a bit heavier either. body type doesn't matter, it's just about a love of the dance.

  • its absolutly facinating how she moves!

  • wonderful!

  • she is a great dancer i do belly danceing and that shimmie is hard as fuk its really hard too do and she aint fat and so fuk if she has a bit of flab most people do and if yu dnt lyk it then dnt watch it

  • She IS really good- and she's not as out of shape as some of you think... You have to be really strong to do some of those moves. I actually think the extra meat around her midsection really accentuates her moves and makes it more fun!

  • One word : AMAZING!! I'm an Arabian belly dancer as well, and I can say that she mastered all the difficult moves...as for the people who say she's fat, first, one musn't be all boney to belly dance, second, haven't you considered her age??

  • She is very good with the zills, I am having trouble doing that myself. I give her credit for being so confident with herself and she is definetly in the right exercise routine for strengthening her abs. A++ for her. She looks great for her age.

  • she isn't fat, she is thick.

  • Awesome is an understatement. The dance is excellent but I've never seen zill work like that before!

  • Wow that was awesome. You have no idea how hard it is to dance in front of people for that long, even without zills. A+

  • you are beautiful

  • Great!!! She is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy goooooooooooood!!!! before all the "anorexia come to the wolrd" ThAT!!! was the most beauty!! in the dance!!!! SHE IS BEAUTFULLLL!!! GOOD!!!!

  • LOVE IT!! come back to MD for another workshop!!!!

  • this woman can get down more and better than all your anorexic girlfriends can! recognize!!! great technique and amazing cymbal playing, it's not easy without any music as mistakes can be easily heard

  • @BubbleSnow80

    BRAVO!!!!

  • @BubbleSnow80 Agree I am Not Anorexic nor Like other i am NORMAL like her, and Just Sayin girls like us can Dance better than Most of the Anorexic Sluts. BECAUSE WE ACCUALLY HAVE HIPS TO MOVE NOT BONES

  • @BubbleSnow80 belly dance is usually prefected with a curvy body! atleast the egyptains like it that way! ( am arab i know) skinny girls jus have to try harder to make the movment show!

  • @Danyalf no, no, no!!! she is not that fat! she is beautiful, she is natural and elegant! ;)

  • NossaO.o

  • GRATE JOB...

  • WOW!! Super!

  • I LOVE her

Anyone knows more info about her?

  • She is a teacher in Boulder, CO who specializes in Egyptian style. She has spent a lot of time in Egypt and has an amazing traditional style. She is also a wonderful teacher, especially for zills.

  • WTF? She's nowhere near 'overweight'. She's in great shape and has awesome talent. Some people need to get a life and stop knocking on other's talent.

  • yip!

  • 2 years since this great video and no more videos posted up by this channel since. That is a shame. I would love to see lots more like this.

As to the comments about Amina's weight, I strongly prefer a voluptuous full-figured bellydancer with motion in her belly than a skinning straight no motion belly.

  • Great dancing and skillful finger symbal playing but I would like to hear more rhythms from bellydancing music, maksoum, malfouf, etc. It would be really fab. Otherwise, good performance.

  • @bellylelly43 : I agree. I believe she did use a little ayoub if I'm not mistaken for the head tossing portion though, which is appropriate.

  • why do people obess so much about a dancer's weight instead of just focusing on the beauty of what she's doing?

I don@t think she needs to lose anything. She dances fabulously.

  • She is great with the finger cymbals, but there is a part when she stuck her foot up and circled it around, oh no! major disrespect in egyptian culture. If someone were to do that while they were dancing in Egypt, it would mean that you are showing them disrespect by sticking your up at them. : /

  • @MsPrince4life

This ain't Egypt. She's awesome. A true Goddess, and I've never seen zills played like that.

I've always thought you had to stick to patterns. She's an innovator!

  • It is great to know culture! That is why many belly dancers, while they learn from their teachers, learn about the culture and history of the dance. So if you are dancing in front of Egyptians that are really into their culture, you would not insult them by doing something that is insulting to them because of your lack of knowledge about a simple gesture that you made. Sorry if you don't like what I said, but that is the truth! I learned it from my instructor myself.

  • I was upset when you said what you did on that video, because despite the history, that woman was in AMERICA, okay? What you said sound like you also see the dance as Egyptians do... you see the dance as suggestive and passed judgement by saying what you said. Keep your preaching stories to yourself, cuz no one wants to hear it. Thus, I replied in such a way.

  • I do not see the dance like how the Egyptians do. Don't you think if I did I would not be doing the dance myself? Think about it!!!! All I said was something that I learned from my AMERICAN dance instructor. I respect culture and customs, and I am sorry if you have a problem with that, but that is how I roll!!! I am often commemorated on how respectable I am with respecting cultures and customs. Sorry if you do not like what I said, but you can't tell me what I can and cannot say.

  • I don't care what culture you have respect for. I don't give two shits whether or not you do. You created a problem with me when you private messaged me. There was no need for that. So you can stick your nose in your own business, and stop private messaging me.

  • You responded to my comment, so I responded to yours. If you are so concerned with me keeping my nose in my business, you do the same. If I can recall, you were the one who responded to my comment first.

  • I was referring to you private messages. There was no need. So quick to keep your cool here on the comments, and very hot-headed of you via private message. You're an interesting two face.

  • @SanguinaryStrife ....wow!!!! look whose talking???!!!!! A hot head knows a hot head huh? Stop talking about yourself!!! It is not appealing : )

  • I think everyone on youtube will agree with me. You're using exclamation marks and what not.

But it doesn't matter anymore. Sorry Amina Salah! Your dancing is great! And I'll stop polluting your video with petty arguements.

  • Exclamation points is what is SUPPOSED to be used to express yourself, NOT CUSSING!!!! lol I never said that she was not a great dancer. All I said was that the move she did was a wrong gesture, and that is what I mean. You are saying that you are going to end the arguments? Why don't you take that advice for yourself and practice what you PREACH!!!!

  • that was amazing!!!

i dare anybody to do what she did!

    great job

  • She's awesome!!! Belly dancing with cymbals takes its time to learn.

  • I'm a belly dancer and i'm chubbier.. It's what most of them look like and it's pretty sexy.. =)

  • Great but she needs to smile a bit more :)

  • For the ones that chooses to criticize her because of weight?? First she is not... bellydance is a dance+exercise that after years of practicing relax the muscle in your belly. That is why really belly dancers doesn't have use of the abdominal muscles. The art is in the flexibility.

And remember that weight is a problem in the New American generation because they do not eat right and do not practice any sport or dance... so that is what need to be criticize.

  • I agree with you except for the part where you say they don't use their abs cause i personally dance baladi and i DO use them, we learn to separate each level actually so we can do things like a belly roll

  • Comment removed

  • Amina, she is so flexible.... it looks so easy... and the symbols just perfect. I love her to teach me... she is perfect!

  • No. This is the preferred look of a belly dancer!

  • God forbid a woman have an average sized body. But I'm sure of course, everyone posting about her being 'fat', which she isn't, is super toned, muscular, fit, and lacks any pudge whatsoever.

    Hypocrites.

  • Her belly has to move, named: BELLYdancing. not IM-TOO-SKINNY-TO-HAVE-A-BELLYdancing.

  • @Lieesaai You don't even know what you are talking about. The real name of "belly dance" is raks sharki. I am a belly dance student, and although we must learn how to roll the belly, the belly is not what makes the dance.

  • hahahahahahaha

  • awesome!... i'd LOVE to be able to do that... i can't even master the basic cymbal rhythm on its own let alone to any whilst i'm dancing...

  • Blackeagle60

Hmm.. you should watch "Didem" then :D

She is so thin but that little turkish woman can use her body ;)

  • Bellydancers should be buxom, becaause they can make cleary movements like bellyrolls.she really has this type of belly and uses it perfectly.

    Thin dancers can't do this.

  • I thought bellydance was for all body types.

  • @hypnodance In Private or classes it is. But it is not pleasant to see flab shaking on anybody and especially in public. Performance is a public affair.

  • @hypnodance It is =)

  • Wha's the big deal about her tumy... it moves and that's the way it supose to look... I've seen very very thin bellydancers and I really don't like the way they dance even if they can control every inch of muscule. She looks very good and if you enjoy it it doesn't matter how you're belly looks. I'm not fat but I'm not thin also, and I love to do bellydancing no matter my belly.

  • She's not fat. Belly dancer's should have a belly that jiggles like that, it's sexy.

  • Hater. Don't be jealous. She's not a stick, nothing wrong with that.

  • genius.

  • good cymbals technique and belly dance technique but too bad the belly is a lil flabby !

  • amazing!!!kiss from czech republic :o)

  • awesome

  • She is amazing and her belly is so desireable and great looking.

I love her navel so much.

She ia an artist in any way.

  • Killa Zilla, haha. Beautiful work. And the belly is gorgeous - highlights the moves.

  • You have a small brain (and probably a small weenie).

  • awesome!!!!i wonder this technique!!!!

  • Superb cymbal technique! I love the passages of floorwork especially, where you became less serious - this is charming

  • I cannot hear any sound :(.

  • Magnifica interpretación. Bravisismooo.

  • btfl lady btfl dancing.....loved the cymbals

  • beautiful dance, amazing!

  • Do you sleep with those? She must have those cymbals on all day , she is tooooooo DAMN good!!!!

  • OMG!!!!Amazing!!!!

  • I've said it before & I'll say it again...absolutely amazing! Great control and technique. Thank you for sharing your talent! Please come to Miami and do a workshop!

  • wow she is great

  • She should be a bellydance superstar!! I wasnt expecting any of her moves. And as a bellydance professional whose praticed all my life, I know what Raks el sharki dancing really is. and that was IT!!

  • Love it!

  • wonderful!

  • Totally Amazing :)

  • really good the only thing that I would change: she must smile

  • i'd like to see more belly dance video from you..thanks for sharing!

  • hey thats really cool i want to try something like that now maybe it will better my zil playing

  • holy crap =D this is amazing!

  • i've never seen something like this.... that's wonderfull!!!!

  • I also love her modesty leg-lettes

  • Fantastic she has mastered The Zill & does the most amazing self accopanied movements.

    BRAVA.

  • oh my god! i cant believe what im seeing

    you are incredible, congratulations!!

i would love take classes with you

  • Absolutely amazing zill work & dancing. An inspiration (although a little daunting) for a beginner zill player like me!

  • get it girl!

  • She is very good

  • I'm somewhat intimidated by the zills. I can move to rhythm, but I cannot make it. I've always had a problem with timing :(

  • well sadly i am a nine year old girl cursed with a barbie shaped figure no wonder i could never get the hang of it.....cause the best dancers are not talente by figures but by TALENT and she has it!

  • This woman is AMAZING! I'm having trouble playing them and moving at the same time! But I WON'T GIVE UP!!! :P

  • Maybe she`s not the sexiest belly dancer but she sure knows how to move so shut up caler93...

  • I read your profile, there was nothing there just like in your head.

  • Indeed. You are an adolescent idiot. Mooching off parents.. indeed.

  • Wow! That was stunning! This lady lets the most difficult look so naturally and floating, and that's really high art! Bravo!
