No, as far as I could tell, there was no cheating involved. It's *possible* they knew the tune they sang when the other bloke played them, but when I sat down and played them I was playing any old crap and they were responding perfectly. I think they would have needed 'relative pitch' as opposed to perfect pitch, but I'm not sure...

I just watched it now Dan, you stole the show. To end the whole series with you kinda means that the beeb thought your idea was the best of the series. Were you trying to play a particular tune when you got a bash on the piano?

I hope this opens doors for you and in 15 years time they do a flashback show of famous people before they were famous and cut back to your appearance on this show and we all go "wow, is that what he used to look like?".

No, my one regret is that I didn't really have any tune to play when the time came. Someone suggested I should have rickroll'd everyone, which is an inspired idea actually.

yes, my beard was possibly a little too self-conscious. I thought I'd better scrub up though! As for the tune, I don't know... I just played some chords. I was slightly overwhelmed and couldn't think of anything to play!
