@TosiValhe Yes, or at the very least you can rent one of them, but it won't work without one of those games. Twilight Princess is probably your best bet although if you plan to buy a game (just for this purpose) one of the others may be cheaper.

This is a very old hack. It does not run at all if you have a modern version of the System Menu (Wii Menu). If you want to hack your wii without a modchip, I'd recommend Smash bros brawl with Smash Stack.

well this is how the hack works.

this is just a crafted save, it tries to load the name of the horse, (which is origanally epona) but it cant find it so the game crashes and thats what happens on the black screen

Previous Nintendo Consoles: You have to connect your Wii to the internet and download them off the Wii Shop Channel.

Obviously it's savegame hack. It does nothing to the game disc and even if you wanted it couldn't. It just exploits an error in how the game loads names from the save game file.

You should use Bannerbomb anyway, it doesn't need any specific game.

2. you guys know you can back up your nand after installing bootmii right? so you only take one short risk for bootmii and after that you can just backup nand and you can never brick your wii cause you just copy the nand back in. so stop worrying about bricks

no, you just need to backup your save file before erasing it

after hacking simply copy the original save file back to the system and you can continue playing the game

Back up your Twilight Princess save file onto your computer, THEN do the hack, delete the hack after getting the Homebrew Channel, and recover your save file from your computer.

The Twilight hack was completely blocked in system menu 4.0, so you have to wait for the next workaround (such as bannerbomb).

You need an SD card (NTFS format, I believe), a SD card reader (to grab the hack from the net) and a copy of Twilight Princess. It will not work any other way

Yes. It works off of a flaw in the game's coding.

What the hack does is give Link a longer name than the character limit allows. From there I don't know the specifics, but I'd think it exploit's what the system's doing while trying to work around the name, or something like that.

I had this problem too.

I solved it using another SD card.

It has not worked with a 256Mo sandisk but works fine with a TRANSCEND 1Go 45x and a Kingston 2Go.

also... type of twilight princess is not compatible for all types of twilight hack

if you check your twilight disc from the readable view you wold see that there is small point... check out where it comes from...

my twilight princes have JPN (means that comes from japan) so i use a twilight hack that uses a JPN disc and if i use an USA (coming from united states) it will load an error just like you...
