  • take a look at budapest gambit defense vs queen's gambit (this opening).

  • In the Semi-Slav you dont get your c8 bishop out before closing up the centre; you first close the centre and then get your bishop out with a tempo by playing dxc4, then b5 and finnaly you put your bishop on b7 or a6.

Just wanted to point out that idea because you said you were studying it and I usually play the Slav Defense.

    Nice video

  • is the 1126 beside your name your ranking?

  • Good game.. Have you used the "Stonewall defense".??

  • You played this game well. When I first started playing chess a few months ago, I was very aggressive and always attacking. I didn't win every game, but I had fun. Then, after a few months of studying, I became passive, and my play was boring and defensive. I don't know if you are the same way, but I am recently attempting to revive my attacking chess and meld it with defensive ideas. I also just started making some blitz game vids...let me know what you think if you have time.

  • Nice new video here. I really enjoy your videos. They've inspired me to start playing the Caro Kann quite frequently. Keep making more please!

  • This game helped me break some mental barriers in my chess play. One is that I can play aggressive. Another is that I can slow down for a few moments, even in blitz, to analyze.

  • nice game

  • Well played

  • Great video ECSPADE and i love your caro kann videos
