A trading card game could be very complex and I wouldn't know where to start. If you're going to use GameMaker I suggest starting by going to the YoYo Games forums and asking your question there. If there are any resources on building that sort of game they would know.

As a person who actually was nerdy enough to beat I Wanna Be The Guy, I advice other players to try it. Today I don't get angry as easily as I did before, for this game has taught me a thing or two about patience.

Also, I want to thank Kain for letting me know that GTA 1 & 2 are now free, for I didn't know that and I have some good memories of those games.

I'm a big fan of Sonic Adventure 1&2 and while Robo Blast is awesome I'd can't agree it's more entertaining then SA1&2 as far as 3D Sonic is concerned. Unleashed was pretty good and I didn't mind the night levels as much as other people. If Sega would make the next 3D Sonic with only the day style levels and maybe throw in some 2.5D stuff I think it would be great.

GameMaker is a great place to start. It has a large community with all kinds of tutorials and resources. You may also want to check out Microsoft XML. I going to be looking into it myself because it lets you make games for PC and Xbox 360.

Like I said in the video I'm not a fan of GTA and I really like some of the previous free games. These are all great games though.

For PC games I use Fraps most of the time and when that doesn't work I use Hypercam. For console games I use Dazzle DVD Recorder, it's a USB capture device.

Well the DS is a handheld so strictly speaking it's not a console. To be honest it completely slipped my mind about the DS version, I don't feel to stupid because it hasn't been released in the US yet. Oh well, it doesn't really matter because this video is about free games.

I Wanna Be the Guy was beyond torture, but very amusing to watch all the ways you can die.

Sonic Robo Blast 2 was rather unique, but I gave up after the first boss; mainly because of my short attention span.

That's only part of the story. The Nights engine version was barely started when it was canceled and nearly completed version that you see in this video was put together almost entirely by one man who when he came down with pneumonia had to stop and the production halted. There's more to it than even that, inter-company politics and the early demise of the Saturn factor in as well.

It looked like a lot of fun and some of it looks a lot like Mario Galaxy. Maybe someday the PC version will leak.
