Kristeen is incredibly good and I instantly fell in love after I saw her. I love Moz to death but honestly I think she just about showed him up in concert. The whole fired-from-tour thing was pretty dumb as I think Kristeen is excellent and she didn't do anything wrong. God, we need more awesome musicians like her.
I think I've heard a studio song of hers ("No Other God Before Me" or something) that was quite good. But live, she sounds a bit like a ravenous seagull.
Was super impressed with Kristeen Young when i saw her open for Morrissey in Boca Raton, and am really enjoying 'The Orphans', especially the song shown here called '9'. Shes got an incredible voice, wicked style and has written some brilliant lyrics. I definitely see what Moz and Bowie see in her!
Cyndi Lauper/Kate Bush/Lene Lovich/Tori Amos/Bjork try-hard wannabe wearing her tres-effing-obvious inflated condom dress. It's all been done before and much much better. How can Mozzer's fans be expected to endure her opening for him. They're a captive audience. He's the greatest but honestly...is it really worth it?

Never heard her music before seeing her open for Morrissey. Thought she was fascinating, so bought her album "The Orphans." If you listen you'll see why Morrissey likes her. It's a powerful, haunting piece of work. She's incredible.
WOW?? I am a pretty fair person and well honestly I saw Morrissey for the first time in Hollywood this last Friday and well...Im surprised they let her share that stage with such an Icon.
I've loved Kristeen since the X era, such a good album, such pretty girl, such energetic performances!
Never thought I could actually get to see her live someday, but HA! nice surprice was it when I saw her get onstage as I didn't know she was opening for Morrissey
I have to agree, ibender. I saw her open for Morrissey in Chicago last night AND back in November. Warbling goat noise was my impression. The drummer should set out for a solo career. Experimental is cool to a point, but that was just too much. I'm sure the 50 people that cheered each of her songs would disagree. Considering that at most 800 people were seated for the opening act in the 4000 seat venue, I may not be in the minority here.
haha i already bought the cd!! i dont see why anyone wouldnt like her, but to honest i dont see her fitting so well performing in front of a morrissey crowd(no offence to morrissey, hes GREAT!!). but yea, she has more of an "experimental" almost "metal" flair to her!! music im more into too! thank yoouuu kristeen young!! awesome, awesome show!!
thank you for the song info, I have seen her open for Morrissey 3 times now and she has grown on me too. I am going to buy her album next time I see Morrissey which will be in about a month at Ventura!
I think it just takes a bit of time to adjust to it, I went from being completely uninterested to being in love with it, Have fun in Ventura you lucky thing.
