Not interviews, "conversations"...haha give me a break. The commenter under me has it right, more often than not it's just Lipton patting himself, his guest, or actors in general on the back by talking about how hard it is to be a good actor and what a genius this particular B-list actor is.

Lipton is smarmy, and solicitous, and kisses every guest's axx. Sometimes it turns out well, other times it is a caricature of an interview; a movie or book promotion disguised as an interview.

lipton can be a bit annoying at times - so very full of himself and his "research" - lipton plays to the crowd so much, it's hardly a "conversation" - just more "drama" from another self important over bearing acting type
