Hey randy, I was trying this beat out, and my high hats are really pissing me off. I guess i never really noticed it before cause i didn't stomp on the high hat too much. I'm not sure if i can explain to easily.. but they don't catch well enough sort of, if i barely lift up on the pedal, there's a little bit of space that the clutch moves before the cymbals do, i'm not sure if a new stand would fix it, or if there is any adjustments to fix it. Hope i was clear enough on the problem. Thanks, Jon.

Awesome lesson, as always, but one question - when playing the fill, wouldn't whacking your hi-hat with the left hand be easier? It's probably harder since you're doing a double, but it's definitely easier then getting your right hand across the kit in an eighth-note period.

I would disagree. I haven't found a better sounding drum kit. Besides... you can't get better hardware since they are made in the motorcycle shop. Although... I am still a fan of Ludwig Classics!!!
