I like to look sharp to. But I mak esure I have on 24hr sweat proof make up...hair back and a breathable simple out fit that someone else maythhk is fancy. (Romans 12:1-3) Everything is too glamorous in the COGIC now. A lot of women dress up to be seen, which shouldn't be, (1 Peter 3:3-5) not to mention all the make-up. (Ps. 149:4) Some men do go overboard too. These are the last days, and there is a great falling away. (2 Timothy 4:2-4) Hold fast to the old way!!!
From what I can remember, the convention was on and poppin that year in Kansas City, shouting left and right, which doesn't surprise me, people from KC know how to have church. KC also has some great gospel talent, not direct correlation to the convention, but FYI, the Mayfields, Keith Newton, Chrystal Rucker, Vernard Johnson, and DeWayne Woods.
