  • This guy doesnt seem to have a great deal of knowledge on orcas, his points were all very vague. What IS happening at SeaWorld now is they are treating animals like they are "rides" at any other amusement park. The trainers are not scientists in any way, in fact they make only $15-18/hourly - the same payscale that the people that dress up like cartoon charactors and DisneyWorld. And mother orcas are breeding with their own sons. SeaWorld is much worse than the public thinks!

  • Richard Ellis you are an idiot. They have ATTACKED PEOPLE before!! So has this whale who has been involved in 2 other deaths! Dogs are domesticated more than 60 or 70 years and STILL BITE PEOPLE.

  • You people don't even listen, ya'll just don't understand people wanted to learn how these creatures act&if they could train them to be friends with people; but this is proof some animals can't be helped, especailly not if they haven't eaten their breakfast. It's called Animal Instinct LOOK IT UP God sometimes ya'll r SO DUMB

  • just cloes down sea world they are killing dophanes and other anmels all the anmels want is to be frer dont cerp it open be for sea world makes mote dofans die and pepol

  • @TehWeirdOnez English Please

  • @TehWeirdOnez Learn to spell dude....

  • This are the whales I dreamed about :)

  • let all the animals go free. Free willy, free Teddy.free my Uncle John. And I'll free your Momma.

  • I find it strange they put possibly the most effective hunting animal ON THE PLANET in a small pool expecting it not to cause any harm? These things can kill great white sharks, yet they are being forced to be show animals. Sickening, release them.

  • 'Its a very surprising thing..." are you joking! I do not blame the killer at all

  • Orca's should be called Killer Dolphins instead of Killer Whales because they are related to dolphins and not whales.

  • KILLER whale get it

  • you cannot build a big enough tank for an animal that migrates thousands of miles.

  • KILLER WHALE.

  • well..Orca they got their name "KILLER whale" not for nothing, right?

  • her death should be a warning to let them go they aren't going to be hanging around the beach stalking people it didnt even try to eat dawn its only a matter of time before it happens again !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this bloke is a complete tool wtf its a wild animal what you expect it to do wild animals have no remorse for the things they do (even pet dogs have been known to kill there owners) how would you feel being the master of the sea and being stuck in a fish tank for the rest of your life which they should never of been put in the first place ...only reason they are there is because of mans greed for money which shows in this video her death will make the place more popular wtf

  • Those creatures only want to be free -.-'' And of course they ARE not to play with.

  • Killer Whale.... its in the name

  • I'd love to be a killer whale.

  • Bitch didn't give Shamu his sammich.

  • -sigh- ppl feed these animals n they won't attack ya duhhhh

  • so basically the girls death was a pretense to make sea world more popular

  • @MrJosh91189 lol u think sort of like me

  • If I had to live out the rest of my meager existence in a dingy, sterile room, getting out only to perform meaningless tricks for a bunch of fat fucking tourists everyday, I'd probably fuck up the nearest asshole who blows a whistle in my face and tries to climb on my back....

  • @Vylvan your totally right i would'nt want some fat ass sitting there farting on my back i would piss all over the guy

  • @Vylvan YES.

  • Excellent post I must say.

  • excellent video

  • the whole problem is the captivity. does no one see that? more like the fact no one was attacked till this, kind of suggests they are being sedated. i fucking hate zoo's just for the fact that people seem to think it's okay to captivate anyhting

  • I think he was just tired or not feeling well & lashed out for a moment. Just like some people.

  • he is a bit off-case. there have been HUNDREDS of orca attacks in marine parks since the 60's. this was also not Tilikum's first attack on a trainer.

  • He is talking crap.

  • detesto el cautiverio. Encerrar a los animales es la peor bajesa humana...

  • What even happened? Did she get decapitated, killed in another way or bitten?

  • @Seguris pulled into the pool and drowned from thrashing and pinned to the bottom. this behavior is not a new behavior either.

  • ...continue from prev post. It was probably playing but it was a bit strange. Also people from the prev show said it was a bit restless so it may of been tired or hungary who knows?

  • @dancemania1011 i don't think so. orca's are extremely intelligent. please give them their crdit which is due. Tilikum knew who that woman was, no doubt. this is an example of animal resistance.

  • Have you ever noticed that, you know how sharks think divers in wetsuites are seals? well maybe the whale was tired and not thinkingstraight and thought it was a seal becausdee when akiller whale trys to get its prey it like hits it with its head and will until itas tires which is what the whale started 2 do2dawn, then it dunked her under water which is what whales do to lower its breathing and then they throw their prey about to kill it and shock it which is what the whale did2 dawn....

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk a sua comversa

  • Bullshit ! x

  • ye for whatever intentions, we'll see if u got locked up for years entertaining monkeys what u would do, dumbass 'whale expert richard' what a douche

  • Premeditated or not.....If I had to be that animal even for a day, i'd probably want to kill someone too. If the interest rises from this then people are just disgraceful. What needs to be done is just retire the ones who are enslaved to do do this, and try" to have it so they are not depressed - and stop doing this. Shame on us. Do we not have enough entertainment? Music, sports, art, travel ect... why do we need to do this? it's wrong on every lvl. Same goes for the circus -disturbing :(

  • Killer whales go through extensive training and spend hours performing a day. I believe that just because you take something out of the wild and domesticate it doesn't mean it won't ever go wild again.

  • I for one have a lot of respect for killer whales. Their brains are at least 7x bigger than ours, they are highly intelligence, and they are the only mammal besides human and domesticated dogs/cats that can exact vengeance if they feel wronged or justified. Killer whales have a great sense of long term and short term memory and Im sure that they remember being snatched from their homes and family at young ages and just like that, they can reach a breaking point.

  • He act's surprised? When the name "Killer" is in the name? It wouldn't of killed her if it wasn't stuck in captivity doing back flips for 3 year old's and white people.

  • killer whales is gonna do what killer whales do

  • For the first 1:09 of him talking...he didn't say shit viable....just mindless rambling.

  • AP reports: "Attack was premeditated"

Expert actually says "attack was not premeditated"

The general theme of AP's report: Dangerous animal that premeditated murder in a wicked, serial killer way.

General theme of expert: Very surprising and unusual for whale to attack although doubts the attack was accidental, whales are incredibly intelligent creatures and why it attacked is very unclear.

    Bad news sells right?

    I value the truth.

  • @MultiDuncanful At 1.01 he does say he believes it IS premeditated and intentional. He then later changes his words and uses 'decidedly' instead of premeditated. The report is in line with what he was saying if you had actually listened and comprehended that.

    Which truth do you value?

  • Is it just me or did that guy seem to contradict himself?

  • Whale expert: "I would say it was, not premeditated." (1:27)

Associated Press: WHALE ATTACK WAS PREMEDITATED.

  • @MrQwertyasdc

Uh, the whale IS ALREADY IN "JAIL"

    Free Willy!

  • Why don't they use the species name opposed to "Killer whale"? It's not even a whale, it's part of the dolphin family.

  • Whos this guy meant to be ?

He says, I dont think anybody would think a killer whale could kill. ??? Of course it kills, Its in its name and how do you think it gets food in the wild.

He also says it was premeditated, Then he says it wasent, Then he says it might have been. ??? So basicaly he has no clue.

If whales have been in captivity since 1960 and the attack was in 2010, How is that 60-70 years.

Im anoyed that i watched a video of an expert telling me things i know are fake.

  • I think the whale was tired of being told to jump and do this or that for a few fishes. Even though most of these animals are born and raised in captivity they are highly intelligent, so I dare to say they get bored of that cage as any human would get bored in a room; and being caged causes them mental and physical stress. I read somewhere this whale was refusing commands from before it killed the trainer.

  • Heck who knows with this fucked up world the banks and govt build up for us I'd even say they somehow got the whale to do it for profit and publicity. Just a thought but it is very much possible.

  • I think the whale have some kind of Histeria, from being cage, of course i´m against all animal captivity and more against commercial reasons, those animal are being created 4 being free animals, not funny or "educational" reasons, u can tell me about all the cares they receive, but lock down an animal and say u take care of it well, seems to me like a controversal thing, like i give u 100 bucks but u give me 1 kidney.

  • is this real or not real

  • i agree with the guy, we should just exterminate all the orcas, how dare they kill one of our own? then i would go after humpback whales they are just too big we can't have that, we should also support kaiji cause because they know exactly how to deal with dolphins, trainers job is dangeouress so i say that once they retire we should put them in charge of humane societies, who is next.. oh how about them elephans...................

  • I'm not paying to see you people treat this fish to jump over the hoop at seaworld bullshit with people in the water. Are yall stupid...huh... is that whale had to teach your dump ass that you can't learn yourselves that you can't fuck with this whales life that made to be in the heaven of ocean. The Lord of the Ocean gonna get you!

  • Heh... yall not as good as God does to a fishes. .........Yall greedy ass...Got a mason home and few ships off this fishes. He will die in Seaworld chemical water. And Yall poison those fishes. Ding!.. Do yall get it in your polluted intelligent mind?

  • They are a whales, a big fish and know how to breath when it need air and a damn good swimmer, a damn good killer and can find food with no problem. And are you GOD?. Huh....God made them for the ocean ,Fool...Not you. It too must for them in this shitty jail of aquarium with white wall for ever. And he will kill you and more other and it his time.

  • Free the older whales back to ocean. You can keep younger and teach them until it get older and free them again. Do they multiply? Huh...Being greediing is the problem. Keeping whale for money..huh.....Just like what yall did to us, making money from us with price too high. Controling us that we have to do stupid thing like working harder or criminal acts or killing yall and we go to jail like the whale in the small tank. Fool!.........

  • @MOONWOLFNIGHT not as easy at it sounds. any animal kept in captivity released to the wild are the equivalent of releasing a suburban individual, throw them in the middle of the wilderness and expect them to survive

  • I do believe that this whale is so spiritaul and did that to kill her to born again into a new life of new born baby whale of reincarnation of her. Her life was so into whale life and she begin to understand the attachment of the whale life. The whale decided to take her in and become one. She been baptise into the life of the sea whale and be free. It love can kill anything. It just happen.

If yall think im crazy, so who is crazy to keep whales in aqaurium for many years. Free the whale.

  • Someone got killed by a killer whale? What part of "killer whale" did we fail to understand?

  • 70 years in of keeping successive animals in captivity does not make any of them "domesticated". And, this was not the first time a trainer has been attacked, or even the first time a trainer has been killed. What kind of "expert" is this guy?

  • "For whatever whale reasons" makes it sound like they're thugs planning their attacks

  • @jackinaboxable But they are. I'm absolutely sure that this whale was planning how to attack her. Like where and when. They're really intelligent creatures so this one could be angered and stressed for months and then he snapped at trainer. It's always human's fault when animal attacks! We should know better and observe animal's behavior seriously. Also we should treat them normally. I think she must be abused the whale or made it starve so that's why she was killed.

  • This is like getting a lion and putting it in your backyard, for fuck sake, just let the whale go...

  • In my opinion, I think the Whale wanted more fish to eat and got agitated instead and then ngrabbed her by the hair since she was right there with the Whalre and he drowned her and would not let her live...this Whale knew what he was doing and no matter how much she trained with him his instinct came out and that is very simple KILLER WHALE.

  • Idiots, hes perfectly right, it was intended.

A Killer whale rely so much on instincts as any human.

Most whales and dolphins are very intelligent, capable of abstract thinking and language, capable of lying and to build complex culture behavior as we do. For culture and biological reasons, we are not tasteful or just fat enough to be considered a meal.

Most of mammals under captivity will develop neurotics and psychosis behavior.

Dolphins in captivity also attacks humans. Its our fault.

  • @TheRoaz You're absolutely right. It's not about their instinct it's about the starving, living in small pool and all the captivity these creatures suffering in. If it was all about the instincts whales couldn't be tamed at all. They will just attack their trainers every time. So this one planned his revenge. And we should not pity the trainer.

  • this fool is an expert??? killer whales being in captivity for 70yrs all of sudden takes away the wild urge? How long have people had lions in captivity? what a moron? Paid is what he is, not an expert.

  • It has no eyes

  • Whale : who was that other whale you were with huh??

    Girl : oh he's nobody

Whale : i thought i told you not to be talking to any other whales?

Girl : its no big deal!!

Whale : ill show you no big deal bitch. *bites her head off* now its no big deal!

  • i guessing you watched free willy and thats what your "case" is based on but im a open minded person tell me the the cases name and i'll read about it

  • oh no the orca killed someone unprecedented unexpected unexpectedly unexplained inexcusable. Get over it shit happens dogs can kill people to as can monkeys, birds, whales, dolphins, sharks, frogs, and toads.

  • somtimes i feel like animals are super smart and are plotting to attack the world Dx

  • I'm not against killer whales (dolphins) in captivity but I'm against the shows that they are doing with those animals. Killer whales who are born in captivity can't go into the wild again, ok captivity is a good idea and people learn something about those animals, but please don't let those creatures do a show 4 times a day.

  • It's called revenge what was or what has the keeper done to this whale, it may be smart but it still has it's primal anger instinct so mabey the keeper didn't give it a treat 4 a while???

  • @vechmaster they're not that stupid, dear. Also normal trainer usually use some tricks like "not treat for you this time - you should work harder" and "jack pot". That keeps animal (and humans, too) motivated. So this whale must be abused for a very long time until he decided to disobey and attack her.

  • The wail Was made into sushi :/

  • Soo... I don't get the title of this video. Didn't the guy say explicitly that he WOULDN'T call it "premeditated"?

  • oh yeah he was plotting to kill his trainer for some time good grief

  • @MyLpsTV Unfortunately some don't :-(

  • The wild can never be tamed!

  • @SynXisXlife look at wolves and dogs

  • if it was premeditated the whale should be punished with death penalty or a life sentence without the possibility of parole

  • @MyLpsTV :-)

  • Has anyone EVER thought that this whale was simply overwhelmed with it's hunting instinct. These whales are, by instinct, are hunters...predators. They are kept in, for all purposes, a prison cell and they cannot engage in many of their natural behaviors. Their sonar echoes off the concrete walls day and night in a chaos of sound guaranteed to give any one of us a migraine. And last they cannot engage in their strongest instinct of all...to hunt. I am guessing the whale went insane from the need

  • ok it is sad that we have such large, inteligent, beautiful creatures in captivity. but now that they are we cantlet them go...but i i dont know if its because the will kill...more like they will die. they hav been domesticated. just my opinion...i wouldnt think jaws killer whale version.

though he sounded funny smart. have you ever heard someoe say something as smart as they can...but in reality if yu pay attention they know nothng like we do.

  • this guys a fucking tool, i'm sick and tired of these bullshit claims. These creatures are far more intellegent then us and we decide to trap them. they were not put on this planet for our enjoyment. they are here for the same purpose we are. FFS we are a arrogant race of self centered beings. "They can't turn it loose" The fuck you can't, do it already the way it acted is exactly the way nature intended them to. You Money hungry Concervative fucks. Exploiting anything you can to make a buck!

  • Uhm...you set a killer whale loose and it's gonna kill again? It's a killer frickin whale...idiot. they don't kill humans for fun. he's not gonna chill on the beach like in frickin spongebob! It's gonna mind it's own damn business. or die. either way it's better off not in that teeny pond anyways.

  • @thatgirlmikayla3853 It got the nicname "killer whale" because it was observed killing a whale, which is part of it's diet. It's called an Orca. They can't be rehabbed back to the wild after a long period of time. See video on Jacque Cousteau's son speaking to this specifically. The best that can be done is to take care of them in captivity

  • @ladysblues Trust me, I understand. But what I'm seeing is that they're worried about the whales killing people. Which is why I stated that I doubt they're going to linger by the beaches for food. And trust me, I know they can't be rehabbed back into the wild. I was just stating personal opinion

  • Wow. That marine conservationist is an idiot and in the wrong job. Moron...

  • pop quiz, animal rights folks:

you have the chance you open a gate and let a killer whale out into the wild.

    do you do it?

  • why are these animals in captivity?? Shame. Do not visit Sea World or the equivalent anywhere please.

  • this guy sounds like a dumbass...

  • The whale should go to jail cause it was premeditated

  • @MrQwertyasdc Tom Cruise should have swooped in and saved her like in Minority Report. Piece of shit Watson, failed!

  • Its a wild animal for fuck sake....let him go

  • @GazMysticism Unfortunately, once you remove them from their habitats and are in captivity for years, you can't return them.

  • @ladysblues They are very smart animals im sure they could learn to adapt back into the wild. i've heard of a case where they did free a whale back into its natural habitat

  • @GazMysticism cats and dogs used to wild animals until we domesticated them tens of thousands of years ago. This goes the same for any cattle or geese or chickens. Every animal has a starting point in domestication, which is just an euphemism for "put into captivity." If anything, we shouldn't have domesticated any animals. But obviously, it's a little too late to turn back now, isn't it? Return them to the wild and they will die.

  • @hanluy1215 cats weren't domesticated, they started hanging around of their own accord. Back when people started planting fields and storing food, which attracted varmints for cats to eat.

  • @kozmon0t Mmm... true. But then we started to let them into our homes deliberately so they can be continuously useful for us (like catching rats and so on, like you've stated) aka. doing some of our bidding with rewards in return.

  • @hanluy1215 they evolved to be little and cute and say meow to gain access to houses. It was a lot of work on their part.

  • @hanluy1215 I don't think so no, its not like you can keep a whale in your back garden. some animals can be domestication if they are able to live of there own free will...other than that never should an animal be kept captive. its been done that a whale has returned to the wild .that's where they came from so i doubt they'd forget...whales are pretty intelligent self aware animals after all

  • @GazMysticism they dont know how to hunt in the wild so they would die if you released them

  • @brightonhamster Of course they do. that's where they came from. natural instinct

  • @GazMysticism I agree. Release him into the wild where he can die the slow death of starvation.

  • @congtron It has intelligence, i'm sure natural instinct would kick in.

  • @GazMysticism What kind of statement is that? Intelligence has nothing to do with instinct. And why are people always talking about how intelligent dolphins are? They're as dumb as crows, and crows have a brain the size of a pea.

  • @congtron Not really. Dolphins have been shown to be able to solve math problems. Lots of Americans can't even do that.

  • @congtron There brains are bigger than ares. hopefully one will decide to eat you.

  • @GazMysticism Very good.

  • @GazMysticism as the guy said people are goin to think that there's a "KILLER WHALE" out there and make them afraid to go near the water in case it KILLS THEM like it did the trainer

  • @GazMysticism No, its not a wild animal... It's captive bred... It's not wild...

  • @GazMysticism

Totally Agree , plus they are "wild " animals .... If they kept to long in the seaworld.... they'll get " mad' and can causes death.

  • @MyRapperGirl You need to do your research. Seaworld parks only have a few orcas left that are real captures. If you've even done any research, which it looks like you haven't, the orca's birth rate is lower then death rate. Meaning, there are more orcas dying then being born. They'll be extinct even quicker if we don't do anything. Message or reply if you want to continue learning about what you didn't ever research but thought you were right.

  • @saradara39 that made my day.

So the guy is saying that the whale had pre meditated murder

  • This guy's an idiot. He said "Whales have been in captivity since the 60's.....they've been in captivity for 60, 70 years" Nice math dildo

  • The statement lacks credibility AND/OR proof!

  • all that education and "expertise" haha. ffs he said absolutely nothing

  • Was this guy serious? What a fucking lunatic!

  • WHALE WHISPERER

  • this guy is an expert?? did he just say that this all began in the 60's with namu @ seattles aquarium, and today is 2011,sooooo 1960's to 2011 =60-70 years??? some EXPERT! he's about 30 yrs off w/ his calculations.

  • @BornSoulSik88 Well, maybe he's good at whales and not so good at math. Know your strengths, right? Let this guy talk to you about whales, probably don't let him balance your checkbook.

  • @BornSoulSik88 hes about 20 years off not 30...

1960 to 2010(when this footage was posted) = 50 years

    2010 - (60/70) years = 1950/1940

    1940 to 1960 = 20 years :) basic math

  • @richard2590w yes, i did purposefuly over-exagerate,for effect. lol!

  • @BornSoulSik88 lol i just wanted to sound clever that is all haha...

  • This guy is soooo dumb. I mean seriously the jaws of killer whales? Wow

  • Yup ur right! Accept a prisoner in a jail has done something wrong to get him there... These whales have not done anything wrong. :)

  • This is just so WRONG! I am a huge animal lover and literally couldn't even hurt a fly! This poor woman got killed as a domesticated whale does not exist. Even though the whales might look happy I can assure u their not. If they are happy doing tricks then why dont u ever see them waving their flippers around in the wild. Seaworld is just a cruel prison for thousands of wild animals that long for freedom and natural ways like: breeding, exploring the ocean and to be able to kill and eat it's ow

  • @151megz totally agree :)

  • Well..If you call them 'KILLERS' then why the in the blue fuck do you keep them in the fucking tank and use them for entertainment.! ..they belong to the wild life not your mickey mouse show bullshit!

  • oh ya, this is really fucking surprising.*sarcasm does anyone get that its called a KILLER whale for a fucking reason!?

  • how about the fact that the whale got bored? XD

  • the animal did not ask to be locked up here so I never understood this, and although sad. Me personally I do not like being still locked into a pool a fair tounjour the same thing and we wonder!

drop his poor beast he will drop the harder a person will be happy too! <<3

  • the whale was prob thinking something like oke dude am stuck in here long enuf time to make a jeal break lol,i know its a sad thing but the creature didnt realy ask to be there did he?its kinda close to a prisoner attacking a guard realy

  • @marcus24000 yep, that is exactly right!

  • wow, this guy gets dumber the more i watch. YES you can put it in the wild, because he is trained better then a wild whale. i think the wild whales would be more like 'jaws".

  • how many drinks do you think he had before he shot this?

  • i actually laughed my ass off when he said ''killer killer whale'' why say that, its killer whale end of!!!

  • he said they wont return it back to the wild because people might think of it as a threat like jaws....sure there are millions of killer sharks out in the ocean, people still swim, lots of killer whales are out at sea too but you dont hear many whale attacks on people swimming in the ocean....why?? because they are not threatened because they are not confined and tortured and personally keeping a whale in captivation is animal cruelty and its not the whales fault for any of its actions!

  • its 12:15...and im watching an old guy in a weird jacket talking about how intelligent whales are. okay. i need a life.

  • If the animal is considered to be intelligent I don't know how you can rule out "accidents, insanity, or an uncontrollable act". It seems the more intelligent an animal is the more likely that mental illness could be an issue. Just look at humans for chirst sake.

  • nice jacket... o_O

  • don't go to seaworld!

  • His reason for not turning it back to the wild was because people would fear it like jaws? Really? THATS the reason?

  • @Morgoth5030 that was a stupid comment he came out with, thats the reason they want people to believe, all they want is to keep him still captivated until he eventually dies a sad and lonely life...no woner he is attacking, he's bored, confused, used, angry and frustrated... its animal cruelty!

  • @xxmusicismydrug123xx Aye, worse whale "expert" ever...

Its times like this where I really marvel at how 'effed up humans can be.

  • @Morgoth5030 its times like these they should be locking up more humans than whales...humans are way more dangerous lol

  • @xxmusicismydrug123xx Lol...for crimes against nature and intelligence.

  • @Morgoth5030 so true! :)

  • Whale expert? He looks more like a turtle expert to me. A premeditated one.

  • well they are called KILLER WHALES not FRIENDLY WHALES!

  • why are these people so surprised? there animals..they act how there supposed to act..its a killer whale...KILLER whale...not a "he im an animal and do what i do but ima gonna be your friend and not act like im supposed to act and how i was born to be" whale..yes long name i know...THATS WHY THERE NOT CALLED THAT...

  • Cute? There is nothing cute about a killer whale

  • The Whale got text messages from the cell phones and they can't stand that signal it hurts their brain/.

  • whale behaves badly,so he gets a time out. (-.-)
