Bay's movies were almost good. Watching the first live-action transformers you could get really excited for seeing those decepticons and autobots in extreme computer graphics, but you can notice the bad acting, lack of transformers personality and horrible screenplay too.

"If you could make your perfect Transformers movie, what would it be like?"

At which point I tell them that the question is not worth asking.

The reason being is that for me, the perfect Transformers movies has already been made.

For a glorified kid's commerical(one I desperately wanted to see as a child), this had some terrific ideas and even dared to kill off popular characters. It was almost like "Transformers: The Next Generation".

One can't imagine a more epic confrontation than Prime & Megatron's final duel, but then we had the largest TF of all attack Cybertron! Dark sci-fi Fantasy at its most epic!

I grew up on G1 and lost count how many times I rented this out from the video store. this still takes pride of place at the top of my DVD collection. Personally I'd have liked a live action remake based on this original. I enjoyed the first 2 bay films, but I thought dark side of the moon was utter crap. It was like every other line and character attempting bad comedy lines. A shame really that the magic of G1 Transformers could be fully brought to life with modern effects and wasn't. I mean c
