This is no a phenomenon but merely a "second" sun, if you will, whose light is being picked up by a slightly different angle. You can try this with a convex or concave lens with a lamp if you wish.

Put it this way. Planet X they say is almost the size of saturn. BUT it has an orbit period of 3600 earth years. They say its gonna hit us in 2012 or come close. If its orbit around the sun is that slow and from now to 2012 is so close. I'm pretty sure you would see an orange/red planet in the sky by now. To sum this up. Its not gonna happen.

@dhudson369 see it with the naked eye as a star in the night sky. right now..in the southern hemishpere there is a star much larger then any other in the sky..thats all it is right now is a large star..lately ive been able to see it in the sky about an hour before nightfall and aabout an hour after sunrise..look for it, compare the stars with your "naked" eyes..youll see it trust me. ive been folllowing it for almost a year now by 2011 it will be as big as every bit of hype you hear states

Don't know where you are located but the scenary is beautiful. But as far as Niburu, if the orb was this close would you not think that some type of event would be taking place. For instance hurricanes this year was mild during this season. And if the planet is getting warmer why has the middle west of the US been hit with Major snow storms and freezing temps. any weapon we could send to it would be destroyed long before it was within range
its supposedly a brown dwarf star it would have to be bigger than jupiter (which is big)
the only way i could think of stopping it would be with anti-matter and that would probably destroy everything in our solar system (not taking accounting the rarity of it) or another more massive objec to shift its orbit outward and that would probably shit us out of the habitabal zone
