It was originally released on the NES, but I was playing this on the Wii Virtual Console.

As for what capture device I use, I use a Dazzle capture card to record videos directly from the game. My Wii's input goes to my VCR, then the output on my VCR goes into the capture card, and that records direct-feed videos from the game.
