The guy who made this Documentary has no understand of Hinduism. He compares Raja Raja Chola to a Pharoah thinking he made temples to ensure himself a place in Heaven. However, Raja Raja Chola was an ardent devotee of Shiva and he constructed the temples not for himself but for all the people of India and to Glorify God.

I hate how uneducated the guy is regarding Hinduism and Ancient Indian Kings, Kings in Hinduism had a Primary purpose to server people, Unlike the ruthless Egyptian Pharoahs.

Wonderful video series, but this video shows a VERY skewed perspective of Hinduism.

Karma and rebirth are just parts of Hinduism, the same religion that urged Arjuna that to fight and kill in the spirit of duty incurs no karma.

Raja Raja was a wise king, not someone to be "afraid that he'd be born as a rat". Hinduism is about Love to God, and the temple was a sign of his Love.

Respect towards spiritual masters is another basic Indian tenet, which is why Guru is in front in the picture.

@SuperKinja. Well, those "noble" are Arya. That likely was the basis of much of the caste system. The Rig Vedas tends to lay out the development of the "Arya" and distinctions are made vs the Dasas/ Dasyus.
