You're just jealous because our operating system is better and more portable then yours. Linux's design in mind is to be like UNIX, so yell at bell labs. Actually tho, Xerox made the window-like GUI, and the mouse, they just thought it wouldn't be successfull so then bell labs, and other companies like microsoft. (no, not apple, mac os and mac os x is based off UNIX, more specifically FreeBSD)

I actually use Linux and have for two years. I run a non GUI Linux Internet web server server using LAMP and a desktop running UBUNTU.

I did not say the rip-off was bad, just that it is one. Linux is based off a good, tried and true OS whereas Windows has no base. It is alone and buggy in its own little world! That is my point.

You can also connect a usb mouse if you want but wiimote works too.

Anyone know if you can play dvd's on wii linux? i know you can via a homebrew app but it runs slow.

Is there a way to connect to the internet WITHOUT a usb internet adapter? I mean via wireless connection.

Can i also install my eyetoy cam as webcam like on windows?

Just one question, I'm not linux savy on the Wii, even though I use Linux on PC, but if I wanted Linux on Wii, is it temporary, such as, boot of SD or external memory, or does it install into the Wii's flash memory, and does that overwrite the Wii's memory?

All methods of installation normally instruct you to install on a external flash memory. Nothing on the Internal 512 mb ram is used for the installation. Just buy a 2gb or 4gb SD card for Wii-Linux, it is worth it.

I am currently developing a site on instruction of how the most layman can install linux on wii and ps3. When done ill post a video + link on youtube. Look forward to it in a couple of weeks.

Well i have not heard of Mugen. But if the game works on debian linux like ubuntu, it should work on this wii-linux, since almost the same. But this is only a theory, sadly i dont have a wii to tried this out yet.

Since it's Linux (Debian actually), installing a VNC client and / or server won't be any problem.

I haven't tried that yet, but remote desktop sessions to windows work fine.
