Kerry King's playing is just fast and simple, that's not a bad thing. It just doesn't make him some super guitar player. His riffs are still great though, just his solo playing isn't very good outside of Slayer.

Slayer's still a good band, and he contributes the kind of solo's that go good with the band, but outside of that, he's just not very good.

what the fuck are you talking about? vinnie wasn't the reason they split, phil was. after their world tour in 2001 phil said that he wanted to take a year out of anything musical but then about a month later he's doing the 2nd down and superjoint ritual albums which threw dime and vinnie off so they did something of their own. as for vinnie going against 'what he believed in', he has every right to play that song. it's his song and he wrote it with his brother in his band.

you have no idea how intense the four song tribute to dime was, there was (pardon the stock term) a charge in the air and everyone felt it. people were almost in tears for wish you were here, and the rest of the time they were screaming their heads off. this was, besides ozzy and metallica, the greatest part of the day.
