  • @ilovemyipod71 ...I've seen too many comments where people were being serious.

  • @HeroLalli Uh...so are you saying that you just want to watch the movie, without MST3k?

  • @Gekkouhen I believe HeroLalli is being sarcastic.

  • Did anyone catch the MST3K movie reference?

  • I can't watch these MST3K videos, because they put that stupid seat row and those 3 morons sitting there, they're blocking my view!!!

  • I miss gypsy

  • I love how Crow flips his net upside down when he's trying to dress up.

  • @kftc88 it tottally works

  • The Kings men approacheth!

  • I was going to dislike this video but just as I was about to hit the dislike button, a crow landed on my window ledge. This is a sign...........

  • 7:37 Is Tom singing the Top Gear theme?

  • @Jus10Ed He is singing "Jessica" by The Allman Brothers.

  • Gypsy tried doing commentary, her words about the whole thing was, "This sucks." and she quickly left in frustration.

Also, is it just me, or are Pearl, Bobo and Observer more of a hoot than Dr. F and TV's Frank?

  • @FaxModem1 I doubt it's just you, but I have a fondness for the early days with Trace and Frank...

  • The shot of Mike vacuuming gets me every time. Not sure why.

  • Crow is filthy rich?! Another thing to love about Crow :D

  • A painting of Crow? Looks more like a giant evil Bullwinkle to me.

  • Why do I feel like Kevin Murphy has a back scratcher like that in real life.

  • "Now she's 29. I kinda had bit of hard time."

  • "Plug it in, Joe."

    I love that callback!

  • "The Strom Thurmond story!"

  • I love how he randomly starts to vaccuum XD

  • This is an episode I have never seen.

I have never seen the first appearance of the Observers.

  • 6:15 I like how he half goes to do the arm gesture of fuck you.

  • Why didn't Gypsy ever do some commentary? She's so cute.

  • @ZoeSquared21 She did once, during "Hercules and the Captive Women." Turns out, she wasnt very good at riffing, and left after about five minutes. I believe at one point she may have said "Guys, this movie is really bad." :)

  • @ZoeSquared21 well acording to wikipedia Gypsy makes sure they SOL doesn't crash while they watching movies. and there is an episode she does join them. Hercules and the captive women if I recall.

  • @ZoeSquared21 She already tried; she didn't do a very good job.

  • @ZoeSquared21 she tried once in Hercules vs something but she didn't like it so she left

  • @icrityourpants I think it was Hercules and the Captive Women. It's the one with the day dedicated to Uranus. :)

  • NO PLAYLIST!?

    WTF!

  • If only the series had stayed with the Observers. They made for much better Mads than Pearl and Bobo (and were at least as good as Forrester and Frank). With all due respect to Bill, though, his Observer was pretty weak. Mike's Observer, on the other hand, had a perfect accent and was hilariously condescending. Paul wasn't too bad, but he just wasn't meant to be in *front* of the cameras.

  • @Phobos1313 Man, I have to respectfully disagree. Especially in some of the later seasons (I know some people don't like them as much) I found Bill hilarious. His effeminate mannerisms, his disdain, his sarcasm. I think Mike made a great Observer though, I agree with you there. If only he could have been the Observer in the sketch later in this episode, it would have been golden. The other guy laughs to much, IMO.

  • @alice88wa And I gotta support you there too. :) His crow makes me laugh so hard!!

  • what is to comprehend? you're some goofbags with emo makeup and vulnerable brains.

  • God, this one is great just for the "This Island Earth" references.

    Plug it in, Joe.

It just makes me want to ask who we are, what we're doing here, and why I have a picture of a burger on the wall.

  • @PirateLordRogan GREEN ACRES!!!

  • The Strom Thurmond Story! Lol!

  • @micksmom2

I looked up Strom Thurmond and now I understand that riff. He lived to be a 100.

  • @IrishEyedBlue It's even funnier to me since I live in South Carolina. :-D

  • "Plug it in, Joe."

"Joe dropped a needle, and now he's off eating a mallow cup."

  • Mr. Hawthorn is a asshole. Hes that typical smug puke you see in alot of these from back then.

  • "Yeah, what the hell?" I love gypsy XD

  • 2:25-2:36

Crow really should know better than to fall for that a seccond time.

...Everyone knows that there are no clowns in heaven.

    ;)

  • 0:46-0:48

    WHAT the...?!

  • Get a tan!

  • Yeah, what the hell?

  • did everyone in the 1950's have that glazed lifeless personality free gaze on their faces all the time?

  • Sonny Corleone dude!

  • "All hands prepare to die!" Love it.

  • Movie starts at 6:40!

  • The Big Valley!

  • "The Strom Termon Story!"

  • is it just me, or does the voice of cambot sound an awful lot like mike?

  • Ah, Jessica..."It looks like her underwire bra just sprang out!" XP

  • I love how Pearl breaks character and laughs at them. "Pretty evolved, heh?"

Also the way the Satellite of Love handles Observian conceit is *so hilarious*

  • For some reason Gypsy saying "What the hell?" is just adorable to me.

  • It's Marilyn Manson!

  • 7:35

    Lol top gear

  • @Segador128 actually the song is called Jessica and Top Gear used it as their theme song.

  • LOL, when Pearl squishes that globe thing, something splatters right before she puts it in her purse. Are those beads or something?

  • @imlaughing2death water I think

  • "Welcome and try to comprehend us."

    "Daaaaaahhhh?okay!"

  • I wouldn't mind watching this in a double feature with The Brain That Wouldn't Die, another great one with a similar title.

  • @mowub And it also featured a sentient decapitated head. What's not to like?

  • That portrait of Crow is awesome.

  • @pf462 Yeah, I wouldn't mind putting that in my living room.

  • XD they used the exact same music in This Island Earth. I never noticed that. It makes Tom's "plug it in, Joe" quip make sense.

  • The host segments are getting weirder in this season. XD

  • "The king's men approachth."

  • WHOA. Gypsy saying "hell"? Interesting.

  • Two Tom Servos?! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

  • -THE BIG VALLEY!!

Between the giant title sequence & the narrator bellowing the name you always knew when that show was on. lol

  • I always like Paul's observer, and I loved what happened to the other 2 observers in the Deadly Bees.

  • @xxPatheticEmoxx

    GO PACKERS!!

  • @watda74 Packers!!! Whoo!

  • I find it difficult to pay good attention to this episode sometimes because I swoon every time William Reynolds appears on screen. *sigh*

  • In weather today, the oceans turned black.

  • I love how Pearl chugs her beer starting at 5:56.

Also, did they film this season after finding a box of Universal Studios films that no one wanted anymore?

  • @ghostsmask If I remember correctly, Sci-Fi had some sort of deal with Universal when they began running the show. I don't know how long it lasted since my cable provider stopped offering Sci-Fi somewhere in the middle of season 8, and I'm only now catching up on the episodes I missed.

  • Horseback Sketching is one of the more low-key rodeo events.

  • And the devil's built right in!

  • Comment removed

  • Do they still make Mallo cups?

  • Amoeba this!

    Yeah, get a tan!

  • All hands, prepare to die!

  • "Looks like her underwire bra sproinged out." If she IS wearing a bra O_o

  • doesn't what makes them superior also make them WAY vulnerable? lmfao

  • I don't know, if these Observers are so superior wouldn't they use the meric system?

  • metric....

  • Mike makes a great Brain Guy. He should have played the part permenantly! Anybody else think Resident Evil 4 when they see Brain Guy?

  • I think Brain Guy when I play Resident Evil 4!

  • This one is one of my favorites. Can't exactly say why...maybe it's the way they make fun of her saying TREYSURE lol

  • Millagro Beanfield War - classic movie!

  • Sonya Braga-yummmmmmm

  • Gypsy is sharp here...

  • THE STROM TURMAN STORY!

  • Red Alert!! All hands prepare to die! :D

  • 4:32 Gypsy: "Ya, what the hell?" :-))

  • "Sonny Corleone: Dude."

"They're all dumb as posts and they home-schooled her."

  • Awesome this is my Fav MST3k Movie1!!

  • "Uh, ma'am, do we have crops to get in or horses to feed?"

  • Comment removed

  • Oh wait, he said 'Big Valley'. Nevermind..

  • .... That's the same opening music from This Island Earth.

How many other movies has that been in? Jeez.

  • Well, its a Universal movie so its just stock music, I suppose :\

  • Uh, we do have water running back at the house, Jessica!

  • "Yeah, what the hell?" <3 Gypsy

Also, Paul Chaplin's Observer sounds like Richard Kiel.

  • i have been looking for this episode for a while now. The thing that stuck in my mind was all the "measure pleasure treasure" riff they kept using. Thanks for the upload!

  • @cbass9054 the worst part is that after seeing this ep for the first time (very long ago) i realized my family and i say "pleasure" etc like that! thanks mst for showing me just how different i am. :)

  • I didn't know there was a reference to "Jessica" by the Allman Brothers Band (aka the Top Gear theme song) in this episode until I looked the song up on Wikipedia.

Now I can't help but grin when I hear it. I love this show.

  • @ZeetherKID77 I think it's my favorite running gag in this episode.

  • omg i love you, i love this episode and was pissed when youtube took it down

  • "The king's men approchit."

  • "approacheth"

  • I love this ep. This film actually scared me as a kid. Back in that prehistoric epoch, it was easy to spook kids.

  • even though Bill's Observer became the standard Observer---

I always felt Mike's Observer had more arrogance to it, something a bit more...Observish

  • Bill's Observer turned the moment a couple cold brews were introduced.

  • He was definitely best at the voice.

  • @nut126 I like Paul Chaplin too-he's a genuinely creepy guy anyway.

  • @nut126 Makes sense. XD As Bobo himself lampshades when they return in Season 10, the other two are "the mean ones"

  • @LochVandral

    True, true--Do i detect a fellow troper?

  • @nut126 Well, never added any to the pages myself, but I've become addicted to the site at least. Many a day off work has been wasted browsing it, especially when I found out they have pages for MST3k movies!

  • @LochVandral

Yeah, I've never actually posted anything either, but it sucks you in! You start reading one page and pretty soon 4 hours have passed and you're still following the damn links!

  • @nut126 Bill's observer is endearingly goofy-kinda the underachiever of the bunch.

  • @nut126 But then Bill's other performance was a puppet. It would have been odd to constantly switch between two different shots of Mike...

  • @nut126 Besides the fact that it probably would have been tougher to have Mike be the standard Observer because he was busy doing things as Mike, they probably went with Bill's Observer because he was the most "buffoonish" of the group, which made him the perfect sidekick for Pearl.

  • @nut126 thats why they went with Bill. Hes more... breakable XD

  • This is one of my absolute fav episodes <3

  • I take it this is where Observer came into the show.

  • You are CORRECT!

  • Servo: Ameoba THIS!

  • I love Mike as an observer! XD

  • Even though you are as an amoeba to him.

  • I love him less now.

  • it still makes me laugh when I think about that fact. :D

  • The Big Valley!!

  • Pearl is so my kind of gal. Dallas reruns, a cold brewsky and a filthy romance novel. I seriously want to to my hair like hers! Does anyone know how??

  • Put a rubber band around your neck, and roll it up your head until you get to the top.

  • thanks for the styling tips gob <3 <3 <3

  • The men in these movies were always such smug arrogant jerks to women. Blegh.

Thankfully Mike and the bots pick up on this and tear them to shreds verbally!

  • Isn't the intro music to the movie from This Island Earth?

  • Sure is.

  • Mike vacuuming is one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

  • ANY man doing housework is cute LOL. And yes, Mike is adorable at it!

  • OMFG!!! I LOVE THIS EPISODE!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

    *Movie title comes up*

    "The Strom Thurmond story!!"

  • 'Plug it in, Joe.'

LOL. Love the This Island Earth reference. Identical bit of music...

'They've beamed onto the planet OK Corral!'

  • HEH, I missed that "Plug it in, Joe." line xD

  • Thank you! I'd been looking for this one.

  • "Get a tan!"

  • "Horror Rises From the Tomb" is a Paul Naschy film that is better, in color, has zombies, gore, violence, nudity, TWO villains, and the same sort of story.

    I love this episode though.

  • But it doesn't have MST3K, so it will never be better. :)

  • "Jessica was only thirteen when I left for college."

Now she's twenty-nine. I kind of had a bit of a hard time.

  • I want the painting of Crow, smashing Servo with his thumb, to hang over the fire place! I wish they sold stuff like that on the website too.

  • Yeah, I want one too.

  • ahahahah I don't know why, but when she stumbled and Tom softly goes "ooop" I busted up laughing

  • Awesome!! Another episode I haven't seen yet. Thank you for posting ^_^
