This makes Linux SO much more appealing for me AND others. It's completely free with heaps of free software & DOES just about anything I want it to do. I can choose between many different distros. I can download what I want, reload, reinstall as many times as I want. And every 6 months there is a new updated version of the software which I can choose to download. Why waste so much money with microsoft people?

Activation is annoying. I'll never put a activation based OS on my computer again after the hassles I had with activation on XP. Activation annoys consumers and doesn't stop piracy.

Well that will still be the Release Candidate version which will expire June 1st and require an upgrade to the official Windows 7 that's released this fall.  The RC isn't a permanent solution, but rather an opportunity to try Windows 7 out for yourself in the testing phase..

Yes we can run games. Mac doesn't have as many games, but we have Spore and some old games from 2 years ago, yes it sucks, I agree, but we can also run Windows on our Macs with a copy of Windows. In fact, I don't even need Windows cause I can run a Windows game on linux on my Mac.

The Radeon 4850 cant handle it on Max. I used to have the HD4850 on my PC and it ran fine, steady 30fps in high setting but when I switched to very high setting it was unplayable. I upgraded to the 4870 and it's much better. I don't think the iMac is available with anything higher than a 4850. You want to game on a Mac you need a Mac Pro.

if you have a vista you should know:

the fact that its stylish makes it slower and

thus crashes more programs

internet is not very fast on internet

it automatically does this weird thing to all your images in paint that makes the images choppier

it crashes 5 times faster than XP

lets just hope windows 7 isnt the same

graphic does not crash the system (only if you have a crappy graphic card maybe then it crashes).

If you have not the right hardware, or rather not the right drivers, that's the most reason, why Vista may crash! (Vista have very bad driver/hardware support)

And, if you have a good graphic card (processor too), your Vista/7 will be never slow with the Aero Theme.
