  • Thank you for this video.

Could you please tell me what is the website you have on the PC screen?

  • @MegaBrebis I'm glad you found it usefull! The website is called Short-wave info. You may just input the frequency into the blank field and hit Enter! You will be prompted where is the frequency transmitted from.

    All the best from Romania!

  • @alfred963

Yes very useful, your website is now in my bookmarks :-) Thank you for replying so quickly. All the best from the South of France!

  • According to the time slot you show, this CRI site is from Kazakhstan. You can tell because the signal is too clean. If it was far away, you would hear a lot of fading (from bouncing in the atmosphere.)

  • @cnick6 No! If you look at the computer screen you will see Urumqi a city inside the middle toward West of China. I live in Romania and the web site shows London time. Consider that Bucharest Romania is 3 hours ahead of London time and you will get the picture. This is not a regular world receiver. It has a PHASE LOCKED LOOP PLL circuitry which greatly enhances the quality of the reception. On the other hand I hooked up an EXTERNAL antena 25 meters long for some 14 meters outside my room(s).

  • are you picking up china from America?

  • @eosphorus904 Bucharest, Romania.

Just follow the table data the azimuth and you will understand. 500 KW from China central mid-western part toward West. Some 4819 Km. It is not very much, but it is still fine, considering the bad weather conditions. The best catch from Bucharest Romania, was from South-S-East Australia with only 250 KW, but I had to put it outside my window. It was more 9400 Km from here
