The problem about common law jurisdictions is that it can be argued from either side. Jurisprudence and old principle contradict each other. Even though Invasion of privacy seemed to be recent it seems not based on statutory law. In the Philippines being a Civil law country, there is not much left for attorneys to argue except proving the facts. Settled precedents and Statutory law are well known even by well informed lay men.
