@michaelmorris95 It's brown because it's a non bleached coffee filter. If you use white filters you risk the chance of contaminating your oil. Butane is a pretty bad ass solvent, it will leech a lot more than just THC if you're not careful.

A word of advice my friend: After some of the butane's run off and it starts thickening, use one of those slanted paint roller trays for a second hot water pan. Keeps the product pan slanted to one side so that you don't have to dig it over to one side later.

@4cashnstash hand pump does the job, but nowhere near as quickly as an electric pump. It's only about $20 for the hand pump, and if it doesn't do the job I'm pretty sure you can return it. (if purchased from a retailer)
Right but you can remove most of the butane by putting a hot plate on warm and doin basically the same method with the water except I use a pan the same size and let the water vapor heat the wax. It takes a while to slow cook it but I find that it makes the wax easier to handle when your done. Everyone has their method just sharing mine. Props on the video though you can never stop learning
@danpharot I've actually just recently learned, thanks to trendynay, that you can vac purge oil without heating it at all straight from the scrape. However he uses and electrical pump and a hand pump simply does not have the power to keep drawing it. imho
hey i bought a mightyvac and used the mason jar method and my mightyvac hand pump broke before i could reach 25 hg. its was giving me really trouble after 15 hg and i didnt want to pop the mason jar so i keep increasing slowly then the handle on the mightyvac just broke. i am using the pint jar so maybe that had an effect. but please get back to me on where i can get a vacuum seal container. thanks!
lol nube...ive been running bho for years and have a degree in molecular chemistry i would recommend using about two cans for a half ounce and 4 cans on an ounce...that way proper saturation is available as it takes almost 15 second for the tetrahydrocannabinol to bind with the butane polymer.....

However if you look closely at any resin sack or trichome, it will be completely empty. Not to mention it's covered in butane. So you can smoke it technically, but you really shouldn't. It's just not worth it when you've already extracted all that gold.

Right but you can remove most of the butane by putting a hot plate on warm and doin basically the same method with the water except I use a pan the same size and let the water vapor heat the wax. It takes a while to slow cook it but I find that it makes the wax easier to handle when your done. Everyone has their method just sharing mine. Props on the video though you can never stop learning

hey i bought a mightyvac and used the mason jar method and my mightyvac hand pump broke before i could reach 25 hg. its was giving me really trouble after 15 hg and i didnt want to pop the mason jar so i keep increasing slowly then the handle on the mightyvac just broke. i am using the pint jar so maybe that had an effect. but please get back to me on where i can get a vacuum seal container. thanks!

lol nube...ive been running bho for years and have a degree in molecular chemistry i would recommend using about two cans for a half ounce and 4 cans on an ounce...that way proper saturation is available as it takes almost 15 second for the tetrahydrocannabinol to bind with the butane polymer.....

@TheDabatron Here's an example of why; say you have an ice cube, this will represent Honey Hash Oil. Now the ice cube has an ant frozen in the middle of it, let's say that's the nasty butane you want purged out. Now imagine trying to extract that ant from your ice cube with a straw. Then imagine how much easier it would be tying to get it out while it's liquid.

@MyBlackmagic666 It looks like you can because of how butane extracts the thc. When you dump the tube, it looks just like when you put it in. However if you look closely at any resin sack or trichome, it will be completely empty. Not to mention it's covered in butane. So you can smoke it technically, but you really shouldn't. It's just not worth it when you've already extracted all that gold.
