@IceCadaverX and Avast > AVG. I used to use AVG religiously, but found Avast to be lighter and less intrusive as far as false positives. AVG takes bribes or funds or w/e you want to call them from software developers. Completely safe key gens and cracks, not to mention every stupid online game with an anti-hack shield, result in false positives from AVG, but don't from Avast. Try it out.

Norton isn't as good as others but most people who say it sucks are gamers and/or people who use computers a lot who regularly pirate things, watch porn and whatever else, which can easily get you viruses and crap.

The first time I got Norton Antivirus it was like watching my computer slowly choke to death as norton uses up more and more processing power and ram until your computer just screams and scream to have this fucking tumor removed from its hard drive.

And the "bad detection percentage" falls under the category of not being safe with your computer in the first place. Almost every time, a virus, trojan, worm or whatever else is the fault of the user for being an idiot.
