Ze Germans could probably pull a similar stunt if they wanted. This might be a fantastic technical achievement from Alstom, but it is only a publicity stunt. The ICE is a great machine, and it regularly operates faster than the TGV. You'll find that operating speed depends more on track layout and specs than the rolling stock. On est vraiment de grand malade, mais qu'est-ce que c'est bon. J'suis Hyper dégouté de n'avoir pa pu assister à cet évènement, je savais même pas qu'il avait lieu ce jour là, j'ai meme faillit loupé la retransmission télé, heuresement qu'on m'a téléphone. less safer than maglevs because these trains run on rails and running at that speed can wear out the metallic rims with time and result in serious accidents and this train is running on level route too not on an elevated one. Anything that comes across its way can cause serious accidents.

its because of oil/gas. if there were trains like this in america, airlines would lose money, and most importantly oil companies too. the government will never allow trains like this to be built. these trains use electricity
