All I can remember is the swindon Fans throwing rocks into the away end!! Being in the away end I had one eye on the game and the other on the rocks:-))
I don't know what the biased report was talking about, it was a clear sending off. If Digby hadn't taken out Foyle there would have been a clear goal scoring opportunity, a definite sending off. As for the Swindon fans, pushing the referee is mild to what they did to us Aldershot fans after the match, I'm just glad football has moved on from those days.
Nowadays, I absolutely agree.... but back then there was no such thing as a professional foul - a straight red was only shown for serious foul play or violent conduct.

It was confusing those days though when they took away the yellow and red cards and when you were sent off the referee had to point to the tunnel!!
