  • Do you know the differences between this and the 2007 model? are the relatively thate same?

  • @rcmaniac31 From what i can remember they are pretty similar board.

  • Hey,

I m looking to buy that board for the next season, and I have a question. I do rails, boxes, medium size jumps…. and I also like to do some riding in the woods. Will it bee too soft ?

Sorry form my bad english :D

  • @sandismole No worries, your English is just fine. It will work great for rails, boxes and medium size jumps, most park riders prefer a softer board, and you should have no problems riding in the woods.

  • @thehouseboardshop

    tnx

Well, I have one more question about the edges. I have read that they get damaged pretty quickly. Ofcourse I don't need them to be sharp, but I don't like them to get too damaged if I hit on rocks, so I would like to know how much is bronze softer than steel ?

  • @sandismole Lets just say they are a fair bit softer, how much, I don't really know, I have busted plenty of traditional edges on rocks and rails, its just part of the game. As you probably know bronze edges offer a less catchy performance on rails, boxes, and jibs. But, If you are looking for stronger edges check out NITRO snowboards, their edges are around 200% more impact resistance than standard edges...they are called RAILKILLER EDGES

  • @thehouseboardshop tnx

  • Hey, I ride a Burton Hero 158 Wide and Its pretty heavy for spins. I was looking to downsize a bit. I am 6'1" 200lbs. I want a board that is reverse camber and will sleigh jumps but still give me the presses i need for boxes and rails. Would the GNU Park Pickle 156 Wide do the job??

  • @tracer052495 You can cut down on a lot of weight by getting lighter bindings. As far as your boards go I would not recommend going much smaller but you can if you want, a lot of people do. I am 6 foot and 200 lb and my park board is a 161 Rossignol one mag. it has a rocker camber design, which is great for high speeds and bigger jumps, and its rockered tip and tail are great for presses. You also may want to check out some of the lib tech boards with C2 power banana.

  • i had an artifact for two seasons the 'hustlin 152' and it was the dopest board iv ever ridden.. i didnt break that one either it lasted till it got stolen ahaha hot commodity. iv ridden a capita (SNAPPED) and a ride DH this season. the DH survived and is a sick all around board but id say a little stiff i cant wait to get my hands on one of these cheap this summer for next year

  • WHATS A GOOD PARK WIDE BOARD I HAVE A SIZE 12 BOOT. Probably around a 150 to a 153 reply asap

  • @iiSNOWBOARDii Here are a few to check out capita Stairmaster wide 152 and horroscope FK or K2 Wold Wide Weapon Rocker Wide 153 or Ride Kink Wide 153... Hope these help!

  • Are soft flex boards like this and the haze good for rails and jumps? I would think that a stiff board would be a softer landing

  • You thiink a 156 for someone 6'1" 205lbs would work for a jib and smaller jump board?

  • alright I love romes and im sticking with them all I want to know is i want pop in a board but I want a rocker cause I mostly do rails and boxes medium size park jumps no huge mountain jumps. Do you have any idea what I should get?

  • Do you guys have a wide version of this board?

  • how durable is this board

  • I just got this board I cant wait to shred :D

  • whats this board gona be like for buttering? u said catch free but its not a rocker. any good?

  • Whats the price on this baby?

  • @ClosedSlot This puppy is $299.95

  • @thehouseboardshop so she'd be a beaut for the park eh?

  • i am 5 '8'' and 170 lbs. i have a chance to buy this board but the only thing i am wondering about is if it is too small. it is a 150... would that be too small for me? i also am just going to be using it for jumps and boxes etc... thank you for your help

  • Hey, should i get this or the Artifact rocker? i do rails, boxes, and jumps.. thanks

  • @MonsterMan702 Well, for rails and boxes a rocker board is better, but for jumps and any where else on the mountain you're going to want camber. You've just asked the hardest question in snowboarding, Rocker or Camber? Everybody has their own personal opinion on it, and mine is... go with camber. It's way better. But if you want to find out for yourself which you like better go to a couple demos and try out both kinds of boards. You'll be able to tell real quick which one is for you.

  • @MonsterMan702 Definitely Rocker dude, dont use skier intended technology on a snowboard. once you ride rocker, camber will feel like shit especially if your a skater

  • K, should i get a 147 if i maybe want to ride it 2 seasons, i am still growing btw

  • @acownz2 That should be fine

  • @acownz2 i have the 151 artifact and i weigh about 135. its a little stiff for pressing because of my weight and the 147 probably would have been better for me. so if you weigh less than 140 i would suggest the 147. if your more than 140 or plan on being more than 140 soon(you said you were still growing) i would get the 151

  • hey, im 5'7" and 126, im thinking the 150 cause im still growing. i just gotta know if this board is good for pressing and can handle jumps

  • @nicely96 Rome wouldn't build a board that was bad for pressing, and the camber is going to treat you good for jumps. 150 is definitely the perfect size for you and the Artifact sounds like the perfect board for your riding style. Have fun out there!

  • @thehouseboardshop just ordered it~!

  • Hey Dave, I'm 5'4 115 Lbs. What size should i go for?

  • @acownz2 Stick around a 145, remember to leave yourself a little room if you're still growing.

  • Just bought this today, can't wait for winter to try it out.

  • I'm 6'0" 160. Should I run a 153 or 156 with this one? Looking to do more jib and rail type stuff and still handle allmountain riding

  • @zidane9810 Where do you ride?

  • hey I'm 5'10/11ish, 140lbs and 18 yrs old, I want to get this board should I get the 147 or 150 I want something to just press the crap out of on boxes and be super playful, I'm only hitting smaller sized jumps and I'm not interested in the 1985 version. Thanks!

  • @1985lnp I would say 147 for park. 150 for all-mountain freestyle.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey.. i hit like 20ft jumps a lot of park but a little Back Country... and i was think about the Rome Artifact.. or should i get the 1985? .... thanks

  • @MonsterMan702 Do the 1985 version for sure!

  • how high can this one go jump wise, and how high can the rome artifact 1985 go jump wize?

  • @Iripintoit Up to like 30-40 feet long, after that bump up the flex...it's a soft board for sure on both.

  • i usually hit the jibs, big kickers, boxes, a little street, as well as lots or runs. although im usually in the park. i was wondering, if i took this board on some steep hills. and some rough icy tree runs would it be able to handle that? as well as the big kickers?

    thanks

  • @HaggyBurger Naw man you definitely wanna look at the Postermania 1985 it has upgraded flex, pop, and all terrain freestyle versatility!

  • i got the 154 for this board. its honestly the best board ive ever ridden

  • if i have a size 12.5 size boot will i have too much toe drag?

  • @adamsrj7 Yes.

  • Hey Guys,

I have a question and would like your opinion, I ride power, jibs, park, street. So pretty much everything. I have a 156 Salomon Scout and i love it, but i skateboard and want more of a jib board that is smaller. I am almost six feet and i weigh 145 lbs. I am getting a rome artifact for next season. I am wondering if I should get a 147 or a 150. Any input?

    Thanks, Evan

  • @EvanSkate303 150 would be the lowest I would go.

  • alright will do, thank you so much

  • cant believe i got a 153 for 200$ HELL YEA!

  • hey i ride i dominant now which is like 255mm i think so would the i156 artifact be good for me or would i have toe drag i have a size 12 boot

  • as long as you rock a wide stance and have good duck angles it should be OK.

  • 5,1 what size

  • How much do you weigh?

  • I hate how the top is soooo plane!

  • theres stuff on it you just cant see it in the light there using go on the rome website you can see it there

  • Heck yes!

  • hey im 5'4 and bout 120,i want room to grow too.what size?

  • 153

  • Hey im 5'9" size 10 and 145 pounds thinking about the 150 because I like the skateboard like feel. Is the 150 ok for me?

  • It should work great!

  • hey house, i am thinking about buying this board and am wondering if it is too big i am 120 size 9 foot and 5feet tall

  • Should work great...fire away!

  • hey house i recently bought a 150 artifact and am wondering if it is to big, i am 120 pounds and 5 foot 1

  • It's on the larger end of your range. it should be OK.

  • is it ok for jumps under 15-20 and will it act the same as other boards on these jumps or will it be harder.

  • It will work just fine on jumps up to 40 feet.

  • hey house, im 140lbs, 5'11", and 11 boot size. What size artifact should i ride?

  • 153 but you would have to have a low profile boot and a wider stance.

  • K, thanks house.

  • would you recommend this bored for a 210 pound 6foot size 11 boot ?

  • Go long but yes, it should work.

  • i want to get one, and it does have bronze edge :)

  • i got the 156, and its a nice board

  • yea i got a 156 its sick

  • ok thanks

  • Yes definitely it will just get a lil' squirrely on jumps over 40 feet.

  • could i hit jumps with this board at all

  • That is true....sorry.

  • so it does have bronze edges right? cause i might get one of these.

  • i thought it had bronze edge

  • got the 2010 rome artifact 147 cant wait to ride it!
