I usually don't like relationships between the lead male and female characters in manga/anime, but this is one of the very few exceptions! There was one omake chapter where Lucy thought Natsu liked her and was really unsure about what to do, she ended up fantasizing what it'd be like if they were together. It was also in episode 50 of the manga. Really enjoyed it.

2 be honest i dont quite think natsu will stay with some1, i love all pairings so many and so twisted i love this anime! but lucy n natsu's relationship (n dont mean it romantically specifically) is just so cute, so caring n so funny, u know? When you look at the manga, the style really does represent Oda Eiichiro's style (since (I'm pretty sure) Oda DID teach Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail, or at least it was based off of Oda's work). In the anime, however, the style changes a bit, and becomes more... original?

Anyway, is there really a blooming romance between these two? Or is it just strong friendship?
