  • I'm liking the open-handedness. is that how you normally play? (First video of yours I've seen, so IDK)

Awesome job, btw! Hope I'll be able to groove like that someday.

  • beautiful music.

  • DUDE. YOUR ARMS ARE SO BUFF! AND YOURE GOOD AT DRUMS!

  • this is soooo good!!!

can you do a drum cover of "numb" by ill nino? it's kinda like this stuff :D

  • I just put my shit in the closet.

  • great job

    keep it up

  • what is the name of this tune? I really like it! Great playing too ! :)

  • that's okay what you play, but now work on your dynamic playing. with latin grooves, it's very important you play the bassdrum softly, snare regular, but the cymbals louder, because that's what makes latin a swingmaster. no offense.. good playing anyway =]

  • this song's melody's pretty nice

especially the beginning part with the guitar

  • is that mozambique?? it sounds like it?

  • just a comment on the v drums, great digitized effects 100's of kits and all that but the hardware (frame clamps esp.) is crap.

  • wow! beautifully done!!

  • Nice playing............

  • very goood

  • wtf is that

  • whats this song called

  • really nice, altough i'm missing the "soul" in e drums, i m going to buy one, because i live in a flat at the moment and videos like this really make me want to practice again (;

does someone know the name of the drumkit oder the manufacturer, like roland or yamaha ? some recommendations ?! thx !

  • I think as far as sound quality and playability, Rolands for sure.

  • yeah, definitely roland v-drums. yamaha also has edrums, but they don't have the mash-pads roland has..

  • i practice on a td-10 at my church, its a lot of fun, but what i see a lot of people getting is either a td-3, td-9, or td-20

  • btw are you a left handed drummer or just leading with your left hand?

  • he's open handed

  • i love latin jazz.. just dont know any goood artists.. any suggestions?

  • gypsy kings.

  • Nice...=)

  • so much fun to jam with this with my guitar...:D

  • Hi, May I know which Rippingtons song is this? Btw great drumming. You got a great lock on your strokes! Cheers. =)

  • MY favorite!!¨ 5 star!! *****

  • your sick man, keep it up

  • Muy Bueno. My jaw is on the floor.

  • The Bass playaer for the Rippingtons is an old Boulder Colorado musician who I used to work with in the 80's. I MUST FORWARD THIS TO HIM! I am going to practice on my vdrums now...

    Mitch

  • A fantastic example on how wrong one man can have. I opened this video and tought; "oh what does this dork have to show, like many others who TRIES to show skills in here?"

I was stunned.. this is awesome man! Nice sound on your e-drums, and a very very good feeling! It`s actually a real influence to watch and listen to you :) I`d love to have this track to play to too. Where can I find this drumless track?

Man, this was a fantastic positive wrong-judgement by me! :)

  • great chops. I like the mambo fill ins that you played around with.

  • My hats off to you. I liked the subtleness of your playing, you weren't overplaying the track! Bravo!

  • the best

  • not a fan of electric sets but that was really good

  • Nice feel and great playing!

  • reall good work man

  • MEXI CO!!!!!!!

    nice grooves man

  • hi is great playing.

    I really liked.

  • What snare sound # are you using?

  • simply nice,thank martinondrums

  • whats the name of this song by the rippingtons? and that couldnt have been played any better 5 stars from me

  • Thanks for that great compliment. It's called Angelfire off the Black Diamond CD. The other Ripps track I posted is also from the same disc. And I did a third one I need to upload. Love that disc.

  • Wicked stuff bro.

  • I have a td 20 and love that sound. What did you do to to the toms, THEY R AMAZING

  • Thanks! I have a td-10 module, and the toms are set to maple, with a bit of ambience and some low end eq'ing. I just mess around with it until it sounds right to me. I also always record separate stereo tracks rather than mono out, which I think adds a lot to the fullness of the sound.

  • dude this was sweet. i love this jam. The Rippingtons you say?

  • Cool! Thanks man!

  • Wow your really good! I get sorta confused with this type of playing..what beat are you hitting your snare?

  • Thank you! During the "chorus" if that's what you mean, I'm hitting it on the "a" of 2 (one sixteenth before 3). I never actually think in those terms though, I just feel it. For some reason that just felt right to me for this tune, so I worked the groove around that.

  • Well done. I am a huge ripps fan and enjoyed hearing this with the added drums, especially played so well. Thanks.

  • Thank you... Glad there are some Ripps fans out there.

  • OLE!

  • Conga! (starts a conga line)

  • Those drums sound GREAT! You play them VERY well!
