You should really throw us of the beaten track and stick on as a Elvis plays Hit me baby one more time from his his classic album "Trout mask replica"

  • P.S I know it's Hey Joe

  • ...yeah baby...very young jimi...

  • Yeah, I love listening and watching this version of All Along the Watch Tower. NO, Wait! It's Hendrix version of The Star Sapangled Banner! Right???

i think anyone who knows hendrix should know that

  • ....hey joe!

  • this is hey joe retard don't disrespect jimi

  • jimi is such a beautiful soul. he just has such an aura

  • If you look at the uploader's profile you'll see he only put up this video and only has one favorite...I'm pretty sure this was a perfectly executed master plan where he'd post a Jimi song under the wrong name just to see what kind of stupid YouTube comments he'd get. Well, almost two years later, it's still working. This guy is a genius.

  • HAHA

  • why the fuck would you say this is fire?

  • R u all retarded this is HEY JOE!!!! Not FIRE!!!!

  • hey joe

  • hey joe

  • yeah the FIRE was stupid but im very thankful to get to see the video...its beautiful mann

  • I love this version of Fire-it rocks

  • Who the hell said this was fire?

What the fuck man, honestly...it's like getting Shack confused with Ellen DeGeneres.

  • Lol, Shack.

    You dummy.

  • Its like getting Shaq confused with Shack.

  • WTF???

  • HEY JOE....it even says it in the lyrics, how the hell could you get these mixed up...but thanks for posting never saw this version before.

  • who the hell would mistake Hey Joe for Fire, the two most well known Hendrix songs

  • lol he even says hey joe!

  • I met John (Mitch) Mitchell !!! He is totally chill, but wasted at the same time haha! Long live Mitch!

  • i really wanted to see Fire! can anyone post it??

  • yeah rite! how the hek can you get hey joe mixed up with fire??!!

  • Yeah really.

  • ...hey joe

  • Mitch Rocks

  • lol this is hey joe! please get the title right

  • this is hey joe dumbass!

  • mitch is a beast

just wish there were more videos of him drumming

my favorite drummers are the classic rock drummers like bonham, mitchell, paice, moon, and baker

  • I agree on the drummers. I liked Carmine Appice too from that period. They all had individual styles and set the standard in Rock Drumming. Most of them had a pretty good jazz background too...especially Paice, Baker and Mitchell.

  • fire, sure...

hey joe! idiot! change title if you can...

  • もうちょっと早く生まれてればミッチと結婚できたのに

  • Mitchell and Bonham both had had jazz drum influence, great drummers

  • MITCHELL IS GOD.

  • lol, Omg...

  • WHAT! lmao thats jimi fucking hendrix! The Jimi Hendrix Experience!

  • I'm pretty sure he's joking... <_<

  • Mitch and BJ Wilson from Procol Harum have very similar styles.

  • Hey Joe idiot

  • me too happy birthday sadly this aint fire this is hey joe surely...!?

  • This isn't sad, and isn't hey Joe & Shirley!?

  • yeah it is hey joe ass

  • No, son it's "Hey Joe" and NOT joe ass! Or Shirley for that matter.

  • Damn straight people are dumbasses if u cant name the name of this song.

  • Damn right, Man!

  • Happy 60th birthday to Mitch Mitchell

  • Mitch Mitchell is a great drummer. One of the best. His style fit in perfectly with The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

  • mitch is definellty the best drummer in the 60s and 70s hes the one who inspired me to play drums

  • SomeOne else that Knows what he's talk'in about!! Check out His performance on "Fire"&"1983[a MerMan I could Be"

    [solo] Incredable drumming.

  • i don't think he was even insulting mitchell, he was just pointing out if you get discouraged from something just because you'll never be stunning at it, you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

  • mitch Turned out to be the best possible match For Jimi-- lets not forget about Noel Redding either, their all LEGENDS!!!- especially Jimi

  • Mitch was by farrrrrr the best drummer from that time,

a JAZZ drummer superb !!!!!! I saw mitch W/Hendrix 5 times! Best live performances [other than Buddy Rich]

His Solo's were blistering. tore up Bohnom,Baker,Moon,

[saw them too + others]"Smoked Em"as i said [Jazz drummer]

  • mitch mitchell stepped into the same world as jimi... thats wu made him so good... them too together was obviously unstoppable

  • The description is a fact.

  • Heh heh, the 2:08 fill: brilliant.

  • Man, Felipe, you have got your head p your ass! If you are a drummer and you are dicouraged by Mitch Mitchell ( unless it's because you know you'll never be that great), throw in the towel, because you don't get it.

  • first its hey joe not fire..

mitch mitchell rocks he's the best drummer ever !!!!!!111

  • have u heard of Buddy Rich or Louie Bellson???--mitch is great, dont get me wrong- but he's not the best ever

  • nothing to say, mitch mitchell is one of my favourite drummers of that era...maybe THE favourite for me...others that drive me mad are keith moon, ginger baker and mike shrieves at the woodstock festival...but mitch, man, had that touch..

  • ESta es hey joe no jodan

  • "HMMM LEMME STAND NEXT OT YOUR FIRE"... DIDNT HEAR IT ONCE HAHA... whoever posted this get ur shit together...tisk tisk

  • dude this is hey joe

  • I met Mitch about four years ago down in Hastings.I told him i had the woodstock video and he said' That's more than I've got'I laughed like you do, wasn't sure what he meant.Anyway i managed to say 'jam back at the house though- when it all comes back in again-your drumming's wild.'I mean the bit after the drum solo where he starts to play with the beat. It feels like your're standing on shifting sands- and What a Gentleman! He had a light in his eyes and said 'Aww thanks mate'

  • its hey joe -.-

  • Yea really man get ur shit together!

  • it's just funny cos it looks like they actually are in a garage lol

  • if anyone is interested, isle of white festival mitch has a double bass set. its pretty cool, he does some, at the time, innovative stuff that night

  • that song is hey joe.... !!! and: look at that stuff... it's great... including a short version of hey joe... by the peppers;)

  • you do know that that song is hey joe not fire

  • Keith Emerson & Greg Lake tried to recruit Mitch Mitchell to play drums for them in a progressive rock band. He declined the offer, so they got Carl Palmer instead, and the rest, as they say, is history!

  • mitch is pretty nice in this vid, hes using a lot of triplets between hands and feet as well as four stroke ruffs, but mostly just eight note fills, but he does them well DOPE!

  • mitch has to be the best drummer of the era... i can't belive he was mainly self taught. i can't find any interviews with him on youtube, its really shit. he is definitely my drumming idol, i would kill to meet him.

  • Mitch Mitchell made an astoundingly humongous impact on rock and pop drummers. Technique and approach aside, he's probably one of those rock drummers back then who really paid very close attention to his drum and cymbal setup. All his drums and cymbals are positioned for natural, fluid motion. That influenced a whole generation of drummers and me as well. He learnt and applied his shit well. A Drummer's Drummer indeed!

  • Mitch is teh best

  • Chea Dude Hendrix iz a frikkin godly beast R.I.P. Jimi and The Experience Ownz Hard Mitch Mitchell iz a beast drummer especially on Bold as Love and Fire and Manic Depression and Noel wuz gr8 2 kept nyce rhythym

  • Mitchell took drum lessons from the the same teacher Moon (and probably Paice)did...Jim Marshall. Yes the same guy who invented Marshall guitar amps.

  • Hendrix could be sooo good; on this video, sounds like an ordinary garage band.

  • They for sure surpass any "ordinary garage band." They sound perfect in this performance. If you can't appreciate the more raw sound, you must be pretty faint of heart. Keep in mind that this is a recording from some time ago.

  • I admit that this is a typical Strat-Marshall sound going through a Fuzz Face. It cleans up when you back up the volume of the guitar. I have seeen much worse performance by Hendrix than this one. I like Hendrix, but because of the limited technology in 69, it was difficult to reproduce the studio performance live.

  • man thats wu i like... i love that it sounds raw and not like the cd... this was jus a calm performance... around the time he was bein seen and u know tryin to get his foot in the door... so he kept it smooth for a while

  • he went into that ringo school of drumming , light and bloody subtle he was and maybe still is a great drummer

  • yea mitch is friekin awesome. he has the same same style as moon, baker, and ian paice

  • heeeyyyy mitch

  • its cool that jimi was so succesful especially w/ all the racism during the 50's and 60's

  • yeah he is the best he is is my idol, My dad got to talk to him some years back at a drum convention he said he was a great guy.

  • Mitch is liiike the kewlest.

  • yeah sweet ass video but change the name to hey joe

  • Fire a buceta!!!

    essa eh a Hey Joe

  • yea, he was a great drummer.

  • I know. I'm sorry. I thought It was. I have a bunch of them. Mitch Mitchell was an amazing drummer.

  • this is hey joe
