Brenda didnt go back to Sonny, but apparently they both wanted it. But Sonny was committed to Carly and Brenda stayed with Jax, BUT then S/B kissed, Carly saw and Jax dumped Brenda and deep down it was basically said Brenda could never let Sonny out of her heart, and Jax was second best.
