Not a dirty hit, a hard hit, yes, a dangerous hit, yes, dirty no. Smaller guy next to the boards, Sutton swings his big ass shoulders and all into him and knocks him into the middle of next week. Not near as bad as Hossa's cheap shit yesterday, and no where near COOKE's cheap shot on Savard. As long as that asswipe is playing for Pittsburgh I have no sympathy for them whatsoever!

Usually one gets very angry when one sees these types of hits, but you can tell this is more clumpsy then dirty.

Game misconduct and 2 games, fine with me.

Sutton and Duper were teammates at one time. I don't like what happened but I don't believe Sutton deliberately tried to hurt Duper. Sutton isn't a dirty player. Doesn't have great judgement, but isn't dirty. GO PENS!!!!!

Just something to think about. The reason you never saw many injuries like this 10-20 years ago was because it wasn't a penalty to hit from behind (along the boards, boarding was still a call). as a result, players protected themselves and didnt put themselves in the position Dupuis did.

I'm not blaming Dupuis, but part of the problem is players are turning their backs without thinking twice, and often on purpose, because they know they can't be hit...and this is the result sometimes.

but unfortunatly sutton hit adn dupuis fell downward and not into the boards resulting in the cut

you see players in that position all the time in every game to hold and protect the puck it was just a freak accident with no intent to harm

It was unintentional I bet, but people constantly hit others when the numbers are staring them in the face. I am sure its just a natural reaction to go after the puck holder, but he was a good bit from the boards, which is why he fell into the corner, not just against the glass. If he was closer to the boards he would have hit the glass like a normal hit.

Sutton is an asshole and everyone knows it, but he didn't mean to cause that kind of injury nor does anyone who makes those kind of hits. still Sutton deserves to be suspended so that he can be reminded of what those kind of hits can do. and if you watch Roloson almost immediately calls over the medic's, at least Roloson is a caring person. thanks for uploading ghost.
