  • Not the only time this angle was done, Randy Savage stomped Ox's teeth once after slapping him in the face. The interviewer, Ox, and Savage all just looked at the teeth, Macho Man, knowing dead air would not work on the show, stomped them...Ox went nuts was very funny

  • the way he says ''soup'' sounds so funny!! LOL

  • 19 teeth were knocked out of his mouth the first year he wrastled!

  • this is olddddddd school i like vintage wrestling to be honest this is the first time seeing this

  • Weird, Garvin looks sorta like Dino Bravo in this clip.

  • Old school.

  • Vince could have done a lot with this guy. He was such a tremendous heel.

  • @getodachoppa1 you cannot be fucking serious!!!!

  • does any one watch this anymore?

  • Love it - the "Hands of Stone" vs the "Teeth of Plastic". I don't even want to think about Ox Baker eating soup with that Fu Manchu moustache of his. He would've gotten more in his moustache than in his belly. Too gross.

  • I'm looking for a mid 1970's match between Andre the Giant vs. Ronnie Garvin in which Andre won by dq because Garvin beat the hell out of him with a steel chair. Probably gave Andre 15-20 chairshots to the head and body. It was crazy and shocking for that time because noone ever lost to Andre. No exceptions. Only saw it one time on either South Eastern Championship or ICW. Can't find it anywhere

  • @dwe253 ''noone ever lost to andre'' what? that doesn't make any sense at all.

  • @niteholler To clarify, I meant to say in the mid 1970's, noone BEAT Andre but but Ronnie Garvin did with a chair. It only aired one time , one saturday on Southeastern Championship Wrestling. Never to be seen again. I think Garvin was scared that Andre would squash him that he literally beat him near unconcious with the steel chair. It was very realistic.

  • @niteholler To clarify, I meant to say noone BEAT Andre. You're right, that didn't make any sense the way it was worded.

  • Ox Baker is a gay coke head other than that he's the kind of guy who you would want to be the epitome of a gay coke head.

  • @dwe253 I'm looking for the Andre Vs Ronnie Garvin match (i think it was a 3 way) where Ronnie pinned Andre clean.

  • 0:07 was that guy on street fighter??

  • LOOOOOL, i like Steak, but i'm toothless..

  • Ox Baker is the man. I saw him yesterday.

  • Ox Baker vs. Eddie Money? SWEET!

  • LOL...the many hairstyles of Ronnie Garvin. I prefer the bleached-blonde spike 'do.

  • Does anyone have video of the Matador who wrestled there around 79-80.He was a masked wrestler.

  • Garvin also smashed the false teeth of Professor Boris Malenko (Dean Malenko's father) on a T.V. taping of Southeastern Championship Wrestling in Knoxville, TN.

  • Eddie Graham was the one who did that to Boris Malenko and it was in Florida.

  • I remember Wahoo McDaniel doing the same thing to Boris Maklenko in the Mid-Atlantic area.

  • Know whats ironic? Ox Baker was one of the necest guys youd ever want to meet outside of the ring. Its strange how a lot of the "faces" in real life were jerks but the really evil "Heels" were wonderfully nice.

    Ox Baker

    Kamala

    Abdullah the Butcher

    Killer Kowalski

    Big John Studd

    just to name a few

  • I remember in the late 70's / early 80's Ox made a very brief appearance on the WWF TV taping in a couple of squash matches. Something must have happened behind the scenes because he left right after, never getting any kind of push to challenge Backlund or anyone else for that matter.

  • Where was ICW based?

  • ICW was based primarily out of the Lexington, Kentucky area, but they ran shows in Southeast Tennessee, Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri and Western Kentucky.

  • @jlowry71

Do you know how I can see the ICW steel cage match with Randy Savage vs. Radamyis? Not sure if I spelled that name right. He wore make up.

  • @DarrellGoode To be honest no I sure don't. I don't have any footage of that.

  • ICW = ECW 1980

  • Ox Baker was agreat heel, but had classic scientific matches against Dory Funk, jr. and Ronnie Garvin. Any1 have tapes of these?

  • I have an ICW Poffo website with tons of info on the group. Google ICW Poffo Universe and it will come up as top search . Lots of pictures, tv show descriptions, Randy Savage match listings , ads for the ICW house shows, pre ICW Poffo material. It is truely the ICW universe.

  • "ooh I don't even want to talk to you!" LOL

  • Looks like it was SRO in that venue.

  • Does anybody remember seeing Cheap Seats make fun of ICW?

  • I remember that! It brought back a lot of memories. I remember seeing this episode of Ronny Garvin crushing Ox Baker's teeth live as a kid...

  • "Does anybody remember seeing Cheap Seats make fun of ICW?"

I remember them doing the other ICW (from the mid 70s in North Carolina). Did they do this one too?

  • Cheap Seats is/was one of my favorite shows. They did 2 different wrestling shows I think both were ICW. They come on ESPN Classic sometimes.

  • I used to be afraid of Ox Baker when I was little

  • waaaay ahead of his time.

  • Am I the only one who finds Ox a bit camp.

  • am i the only one who thinks he looks like Zangif from Street Fighter II

  • lol!! i forgot about him!

  • HE WANT STEAK

  • I LOVE STEAK NOT SOUP

  • So that's where the Garvin stomp... began! Great stuff!!

  • haaha thats funny as hell i dont even wanna talk to you anymore

  • he ordered the steak then realized he couldn't eat it

    classic!

  • those were the days

  • Old TV wrestling was great. The slow development of rivalries was better then and more real. Everything is SO rushed in the WWF/WWE these days.

  • What a tiny ring! But who at that time knew that Ron Garvin would go on to become the greatest NWA World Champion of all time?

  • ox baker lives in my town hes a cool dude

  • Where is your hometown? thanks.

  • Paducah KY

  • I miss TV studio wrestling. The crowds were the best

  • HAHA...Garvin said he don't me to be bragging...yet he's wearing a shirt that sayd "Ronnie" on it. Ox Baker was great!! I met him a couple years back...Great Guy!!

  • They dropped the ball-Ox should have been pushed as a monster face after that incident.

  • That's the greatest!

  • Is that George Jefferson commentating ?

  • Garvin is gay.

  • Wrong Garvin.

  • No, Terry Garvin is the Homosexual

  • Very funny segement. Kinda felt sorry for Ox. "He loves his steak dinner!" Can't see Ox sip on a bowl of soup.

  • WWE needs a false teeth angle....lol

  • This was an angle that had been done many times prior to this. They always had cheap false teeth made for the angle.

Eddie Graham did it to Boris Malenko in Florida.

Wahoo McDaniel did it to Malenko in the Carolinas.

Ron Garvin did it to Malenko in Knoxville (which is why it probably didn't have the same impact when they did it again in the same region with Ox Baker).

  • i was going to say, I remember Garvin doing this to Malenko but not Ox. Pretty funny!

  • I doubt that - Angelo Poff was a notoriously cheap guy.

  • *Poffo

  • angelo poffo ripped my buddy's ear off in a match

  • Hilarious! I hope the promoter compensated Ox for his loss.

  • Garvin stomped the dentures! That's hardcore. heh.
