depends on when it was made, older guns (Pre- 1970's) wear after a few hundred rounds. After 1970's, the barrel is made of higher quality steel and can last a very long time if it is properly maintained

Awesome, I have a video of a prairie dog at 231 yards with my .220 swift. I think it's the greatest varmint cartridge ever made!
