If this shows story and storyline followed the books then i think it would have been more successful and no offense but in my opinion they should have casted a better Richard i didnt i cant imagine richard as this guy he is not at all burly(DHaran) and he doesnt look wise. :-D

There is also too much sword and hand to hand combat. In the book Richard hardly ever fights its mostly kahlan that fights the wars.

i loved the show so much i had to read the books...they are very different, and even tho the books ARE better, i LOVE the show...but if you love the emotion in the show, you'd have a field day with the books. they are on steroids compared to this, its incredible...they are amazing books!

@EmilyAndersonRobin Because Kahlan is a Confessor and not totally in control of her powers. So if she was with Richard and lost control she would confess him without meaning to. Therefore he would in effect lose his free will and become her puppet, only existing to please her. If this happened he would lose all interest in trying to find the Boxes of Orden and defeating Darken Rahl. Long explanation, I know :)

@free9174 in the book lets just say their first kiss almost ends in cough cough sex cough cough but then they dont cuz of her power..the romance in the book is more intense cuz we know that they are constantly thinking about the each other and in a TV show its hard to capture those unsaid thoughts... I would suggest reading the books though. They are huge but I read them on my amazon fire and I was done(in 5 days) with the 1st one and I didnt realize the length until I checked online

though the circumstances of the two stories are different, it mainly revolves around forbidden love.
