Geez they all look exactly the same, it's an amazing dance but there's no diversity in the body types, I mean I'm sure they're all very muscular and such but I get the feeling that the directors of the studio look for this bodytype. *sigh* I feel sorry for larger people who love dance as much as these girls, but who just don't have that body type
@dancingbabe0301 Or maybe they train everyday (which is why they are such amazing dancers) and this rigorous daily activity made them fit and athletic. You shouldn't assume that a group of amazing dancers were chosen based on their looks rather than skill,as it is offensive to the hard work it took them to obtain that level of athleticism and grace.
It's unfortunate that people argue through comments on videos. Dancers should be praised for their talent, not compared with other companies that are also filled with talented dancers or criticized for their "style". Yes, both Beyond Words and Perseverance are incredible, but if one must bring up Beyond Words or any other company, please go to one of their videos and compliment them there. This dance was absolutely beautiful, just like every other dance from Perseverance.
@dancinbella97 I know I was at this competition. But then why the descrepancy that PDC doesn't do other styles? Clearly this is different than their usual and I think they pulled it off beautifully. Its really not that big a deal, just stating my opinion. PDC is trying new things, and I feel like not many people notice it? Or maybe its just the only critique people have for them, idk but again, not a huge deal.
@waaah2100 I do think they are extremely talented but there are companies out there that have outshone perseverance and have gone unrecognized. They have a certain style to them but I'd love to see them broaden their styles. They may compete in other categories but they always have the same feel to a dance. There is more than just perseverance out in the dance world but many seem to forget about those other companies.
@Noodleshmoodle12 i think their "same feel" is just the pure passion and love they have that makes them stand out as an incredible, notable company. Sure, they may have a certain style that all the girls tend to dance with, but hey, you always know a PDC dance when you see one, right?! I give you these girls a lot of credit for the sheer dedication to be excellent and to improve in so many ways, including trying new styles, like this dance. I respect your opinion though :) Great job girls!
I do love perseverance but they should be more well rounded. I feel like all the dances are the same and it would be better if they did not look all alike. Competition dance is about being precise and clean but still being able to pick out who is who. It's not about looking like a robot.
@Noodleshmoodle12 really? i disagree. i think everyone else is all doing the same thing, everyone seems to only do contemporary now. i love that pdc still does jazz and lyrical and ballet. And they even do tap and hip hop now!! Also, this dance is nothing like pdc's usual. I think it was cool and shows they can do contemporary style as well. But personally, i think no other company can compare to pdc's lyrical and jazz. Just my opinion. :) I love perseverance, keep it up girls!
i love perseverance cause they always have the perfect balance between actual dancing and tricks. not to mention, the tricks they do are usually pretty original/difficult and you don't really see many other studios doing them. plus, they always keep their choreography classy! there is nothing to hate about them haha
Is PDC still around? It seems like they have disappeared this year.
