What if I am not a network engineer or I am totally know nothing about computer network, could I start with this CCNA Pro Certificate courses?Does CCNA teach the fundamental such like :OSI 7 layers, network topology,LAN & WAN..Switching(hub,switch,router....), or CCNA just teach their own product which means just offer user to learn how to use their products?..
Is the time allocated to do this test sufficient? do you find your self panicing? I have down loaded some practice questions and I find myself really having to think about some of them, I also find sone of the questions quite ambiguous while others are obvious.
hmmm..I have failed 640-801... only 4 points missing. But heres a tip: You really have to know how to subnet, not to know the procedure but you must be able to recognize the subnet as soon as you see it, tell how many subnets there are, how many hosts...does it conflicts with other IP addresses....also one thing that I ignored was Frame Relay, RIP and EIGRP implementation on FR network...so learn FR very good!
naah..not yet. Im currently into programming and UNIX (solaris)administratoin, but will return to CISCO academy sometimes this year...or even next. So Ill try to push up to CCIE :) ...therefor CCNP is my next networking certificate. Oh..dont forget wildcard masks. I recomend to learn all possibilities
Of course, learn switching and routing protocols. But I must warn you that I had 640-801 exam and CISCO is now givinig 802.
I had 2 simulations. One was about ACLs and the other was about switching and (VLANs,STP ...).Learn to use SHOW commands and what info can you use from them to solve problems...
I will take the long way to get CCNA, this is through the 2 exams way. Do you know if there is a content list about what I need to study? or DO i just study the semester 1 and 2?
2 simulation question? what test is this guy talking about? I have always gotten 3 sim questions! not 2. Also if you get 6 addresses that you have to figure out the math for how do you do it in less then 3 minutes? For a guy who makes the guides he doesnt say much in the video to make people buy the guide

Anyone find any other good videos that give you more info on the testing questions? He does give some insight at least into a few question types.

Cool stuff.
What is the minimum % allowed for a pass?
I asked my teacher and he said 85% but somehow that seems a little high.
Any serious questions on STP RPs and DPs?

Yes it 85%.
