  • No surprise: Wunder is the winner= Rubinstein + Horowitz.

PhilPhilUSA, you say it all: Wunder is "Magnificient. He got everything. Everything."

  • interprétation magistrale.

  • Personally, I prefer the classic scenario (which was used until 2005) Chopin's face as the background and witness the competition in his honor .. This scenario bluish atmosphere more like a Grammy award, or a pop concert ..

  • sometimes i wonder if it's even possible to play on the piano in the way he does :O amazing

  • un enchantement

  • really i cryied like a baby magneficent how come he didnt won ? its not even my type of music but wow serously im choked listening to that... omg he just reached somthing deep down inside me..... <3

  • 2:19

  • WHOA! Crane shot at 1:38, fantastic! Oh, and the performance is rapture!

  • A billion times better than his version at the Chopin competition!

  • This man makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. My soul can't help but respond to such sublime playing.

  • @LOMSam1

I like the fact that you use the word 'soul'. The day when people stop believing is when music is dead.

  • they're all lucky haochen zhang won the van cliburn and decided not to enter the chopin...he's heads and shoulders above these pianists

  • @utubuser10

At least he has an enthusiastic fan in you :-) and surely many more, but your comment is highly speculative, don´t you think?

  • @anaesdocable speculative and provocative.

  • menos cara y mas interpretacion,, please..

  • What can I say? What can we say? The man can take you and stretch you across the horizon with his music, and make you see beautiful things you never thought existed. How do you explain that? I think it begins with ten well trained fingers directed by angels.

  • beautiful beautiful!i wish i could listened to his play before my piano exam

  • Pianissimist...

You feel his fingers touching the soul, playing on it... it is like being transported to another dimension...

    time has stopped.....

and then he wakes you with such an incredible, refreshing flood of vibrating sounds:) like a shower in crystal water:)) What a Wonder!

  • Genius! Ingolf Wunder is called a “wonder of the piano”. His exceptional talent was noticed at many international competitions, where he became a first prize winner.

  • @dobutsunonakma except this one.

  • Magnificent. He got everything. Everything.

  • a bit of chopin is embedded in this man's soul. amazing.

  • 2:23, YOU START HEARING THAT BEAUTIFUL MELODY. HOLY MOTHERFUCK, HE IS WUNDERFUL.

  • I was transfixed by this man's performance. It was electrifying. That he did't win te 1st prize, what were they smoking? Here's a guy who looks like Tom Hulce who played Mozart in Amadeus, who's also an Austrian for crying out loud.

  • The andante part is superb , but the allegro brilliant is very sleepy , he looses the mood of thhe allegro , my favorite recording of this polonaise is Horowitz and wladislaw spilamnn

  • @kempff95 ????????

  • Bravo! I find him gentler than Avdeeva. I prefer him for winner. There is something aggressive about her playing than I don't fancy so much.

  • I love to heare his interpretation and performance. Excellent! Thanks for posting.

  • where was this held? the stage seems huge!

  • @partitasa89

It's Polish National Opera in Warsaw. The stage is one of the biggest in the world.

  • Bravoooooo, Wundi - wunderbar!!!

    karolklei - dziękuję:)

  • The quintessence of Chopin's spirit...

  • I was there...and even shouted 'braaaavooo'! ;) Wish u all the best Wundi.

  • Gorgeous rendition!

  • He's got heart on piano keys. He's music and he is exactly ONE THING. In my heart HE is the winner.

  • So beautiful

  • Thank you Karolklei, thank you so much.

I was so moved yesterday by his interpretation of Andante Spianato et la Grande Polonaise Brillante...Nice work ! Thanks again Karolklei :-)
