Personally, I prefer the classic scenario (which was used until 2005) Chopin's face as the background and witness the competition in his honor .. This scenario bluish atmosphere more like a Grammy award, or a pop concert ..
really i cryied like a baby magneficent how come he didnt won ? its not even my type of music but wow serously im choked listening to that... omg he just reached somthing deep down inside me..... <3
What can I say? What can we say? The man can take you and stretch you across the horizon with his music, and make you see beautiful things you never thought existed. How do you explain that? I think it begins with ten well trained fingers directed by angels.
Genius! Ingolf Wunder is called a “wonder of the piano”. His exceptional talent was noticed at many international competitions, where he became a first prize winner.
I was transfixed by this man's performance. It was electrifying. That he did't win te 1st prize, what were they smoking? Here's a guy who looks like Tom Hulce who played Mozart in Amadeus, who's also an Austrian for crying out loud.
The andante part is superb , but the allegro brilliant is very sleepy , he looses the mood of the allegro , my favorite recording of this polonaise is Horowitz and wladislaw spilamnn

This man makes me want to cry and laugh at the same time. My soul can't help but respond to such sublime playing.

I like the fact that you use the word 'soul'. The day when people stop believing is when music is dead.

they're all lucky haochen zhang won the van cliburn and decided not to enter the chopin...he's heads and shoulders above these pianists

Bravo! I find him gentler than Avdeeva. I prefer him for winner. There is something aggressive about her playing than I don't fancy so much.
