  • Sounds good! IYour tone is really woody sounding. What tubes were you using for the demo?

  • To Live Forever. Nice!

  • hehe "Resolutions" sounds way better on the Einstein than on the original Mesa! Good taste in gear there with the XTC, Tremoverb and Einstein.

  • einstein or mesa rectifier??

  • How do you like this amp versus your Mark IV? I know they are different but I have a Mark IV B and really want an Einstein. Not sure I can keep the Mark if I get eh Diezel - impossible to decide.

    Thanks - great tones btw

  • At the end which one did toy choose 50w or 100w?! Saw You on a forum so i had to find you here, too for the oppinion :)

  • Well that's two for two! Two great Diezel videos.

    Outstanding showcase .

    Thank you.

  • yeah...such a cool test of that crazy amp....check out my DIEZEL EINSTEIN video

  • Good work! Playing really shows of the versatility of what is clearly an awesome amp. I've now decided to get own one on there new purchase payment plan directly from diezil.co.uk. NICE! Happy Days. God I sound like a sales pitch!

  • I noticed you've posted videos of the Mark IIC+ and IV, how does the Diezel compare to those? Thanks

  • diezels are really good amps. theyre just a little bit too scooped for my taste but still great amps. this sounds really good by the way. this video reinforced my love for the bogner cabs

  • Hey man, which do you prefer? The RK or the Diezel?

  • Amazingly versatile. And nice song choices!

  • vh4 is a realy good amplifier too

  • This amp owns any NEW Mesa

  • RandomHero12: What song do you play 0.20 - 0.50??

  • That would be Resolution by Andy Timmons.

  • The Prices for a Mesa Mark V... (Prices for 8. March 2010)

here in Europe: costs 3000€ (4100$)

    in the USA : costs 2000$ (1470€)

    Pries for Diezel Einstein:

    Here in Europe: 1800€ (2500$)

    in the USA: 4000$ (3000€)

I personally like the Diezel much more, but thats a matter of taste.

    greetings.

  • you know....we should open up a website that lets the Euro peeps out there buy diezels and ship em to the US, and the US guys buy the rectos and send them there to save money.....cus there is NO way it costs as much as the price difference to ship them out here.....we could all save eachother money lol

  • lol 6505+ sounds like shit for anything else than metal.anyway your probably 14 years old and never tried any good amp and your basing your opinion on youtube clip while it sound compressed and only give a small idea of what an amp really sond and feel in real life.

  • diezels arent $5000 i think this one is like $3000 and over in britain its cheap, u gotta think import tax and customs, and also i bet youve never actually seena d iezel in person or had a look inside the build quality far greater than anything ive ever had and ive hard 20 heads.

  • Hey guys! Great tone on the video....BUT anyone knows about Mode switching mod? I mean..is there any way to modify the amp in order to change the 3 Modes by pedal? That will be the perfect thing!! Please reply!!

  • you already can, watch the light on the amp, and his foot at 2:45.

  • did i hear a little asian hooker at :45 from steel panther

  • oh man those guys are hilarious hahaha

  • yeah andy timmons!! great I have the Einstein too !!! Great AMP

  • love your tone man :)

  • Diezel Einstein 1700 euro, with LCD biasing screen, hand wired tube sockets and pots to circuit board. You'll never have to take it in for MAINTENANCE:::o

Marshall JVM410 1220 euro, prone to failure.

    MESABOOGIE DR 50watt 1970 euro.

    Its obvious

  • Its 500 more than the Marshall jvm, but you will save that money in the long run because Marshall mounts everything onto the circuit board causing breakdowns

  • Overrated and fucking highway robbery. I have seen merchants asking $4500 for these. If you are a working man, that is outrageous. There are many affordable and comparable amplifiers out there. And we wonder why people are in debt up to the gills? If you are a novice or even semi-professional player, you could buy 2 complete amp rigs and a couple of guitars to gig with for what these goofs ask for these bullshit, trendy amps.

  • Worth every cent! Superior German craftsmanship.

  • @EuphorbusBTB Are you a fucking coke or heroin dealer? How do you buy this shit if you work for a living?

  • They're a lot cheaper here in Europe, and you can save some of the money you make from gigging.

If you're a real and unique musician

  • @EuphorbusBTB "Real" compared to what? That is a very vague and highly subjective definition. I guess it all comes down to what you desire. Have fun, make money, a little bit of both, try to be a full-time professional. But regardless, these boutique amp makers are scams. Electron-tube amps are antiquated 1950's technology. There is nothing that justifies the cost of these amps other than the goofs that are willing to buy them under the false assumption that they produce "superior tone".

  • How the hell is it a "false assumption"? Guitarists who make these decisions are not sheep, you know. We are rational, thinking individuals with good ears for tone, which is a highly subjective thing as you pointed out... and if Diezel is where our ears lead us, then so be it! What the hell is your problem with people deciding for themselves what to do with THEIR money, anyway? Are you this livid about people buying *gasp* CARS when public transportation is readily available? Geeeeez...

  • @EuphorbusBTB Tone is subjective and based on an opinion of an individual. These amps sound good, but there are many other amps that are cheaper that can produce very similar tones at 1/3 the price.

  • would you kindly name a few?

  • @guitarthroat That's all well and good man but I live in Europe, where Diezel stuff is cheaper than Mesa Boogie, so one could argue that Boogie stuff is overpriced here.

  • I have no doubt about that. Mesa Boogie is overpriced too. The old dual Recs were really good. The new ones are bullshit.

  • @guitarthroat Ive got an original made in 1994 dual rec. Ya know the low end, tool-like flubbyness? yeahp - in spades. I play this thing out and people are like 'what the shit is that thing?!' .. just an old school dual rec. its so old it doesnt have chicken beek knobs like the ones 1-2 years later did.. its the original muther

  • diezels in europe are acutally cheaper than bogner/mesa boogie/engl/soldano/ and the einstein is same price as a uberschall or blackstar series one 2000 at £1500, i know what i rather have

  • @RandomHero12 good point - probably rather the diezel then. here a triple rec is $1300 and a diezel is $4000 (if you can believe that) .. more or less euros (less but you know what I mean) heh

    cheers

  • Wait, are you trying to compare a Dual Recto....to a diezel?....lol....

  • so all those dudes that can afford whatever they want that use rectos instead of diezels are ... what then? its got a very particular non rich harmonic tone that is decent... Ive played through them plenty, very bitey and missing a bit of nuance. more records have been made with marshalls and fenders than anything else though.. and I consider them to be more or less the bottom of the barrel as far as cool factor.

  • @tenaciousjp Sometimes I've heard Rectos outperform Diezels. Especially when you get a Herbert and you get buried in a band mix by a Marshall or Boogie. And also, put a shitty player on a Herbert and a Great player on a Marshall DSL100. Who's going to sound better?

  • @danyeo diezels are a billion times better in quality than mesa could ever dream of being but yes a good player could overshadow that if the guy playing the diezel sucks

  • Yeah, you're dreadfully misinformed, using US prices for a comparison on a German product. Do you have ANY idea what Mesa costs in Europe? How about Musicman guitars?

As for new vs old DR's, Mesa just revised them and I've read that they're on a par with the old 2 channel ones... actually better since the the old cleans were terrrrible.

  • @guitarthroat Lol seems like someone can't AFFORD a "BOUTIQUE" amp so he has to hold his breath and stomp his feet. there, there little fellow..there's always line6 PODS for people like you. lmfao

The build quality alone for a Diezel is worth every penny. I don't like them because they're too modern sounding but they're possibly the best built amp there is. Like little tanks. Must suck to be poor and not be able to afford one huh deepthroat?

  • @PinkyWontWork I'm an electromechanical engineer and can certainly afford any amp I want, you fucking dummy. But, you fucking Bozo's on here that spend that kind of money are fiscally irresponsible and silly.

  • @guitarthroat then sit on your money until you die with a nice fat bank account DAD...people who truly love music will spend money to get the beautiful sounds they're looking for...'fiscally irresponsible'....haha christ man it's just money.

  • excellent sound ,how much does this go for?

  • nice 'tallica riffs :D

  • awesome sound...

  • great tones, 50 or 100?

  • Thanks man. This is the 50.

  • Yea cool. I love 50's. Owned all Diezels except the Einstein and your vid is giving me gas. (nice playing too)

  • Thanks dude.

Yeah the Einstein is awesome, no doubt.

  • Love the deizel amps ....I just wish I could afford one :(.....somebody call me a wambulance

  • Hi Random hero...I bought an xtc cuz of your vid but it ids really tinny did you buy this cuz you sold the xtc,and why did you sell the xtc..Does this cut through more???

  • Hi,

It didn't sound tinny at all to me? What cab/speakers are you pairing it with?

I actually traded the XTC for the IIC+ which I sold for the Einstein. The XTC was actually my favourite of the bunch, so I would stick with it.

  • Wel I g=have an Alchemist cab,,a rivera cab and a carvin legacy cab...Whatd you have I guess the bogner cab right??

  • LOL Timmons "mesa boogie" song in a diezel demo, great video!

  • Timmons' Mesa Boogie song that was originally recorded on a Marshall, on a Diezel demo.

  • What speakers in that cab? Sounds great

  • Thanks. V30s.

  • WATTAGE???

  • 50w

  • What an awesome sound

  • DOn't like the Rhythm Tones so much. Too dark for my taste. And this coming from a metalhead! Haha.

  • Good job with the Andy Timmons part

  • What tubes are you using in the power amp?

  • Nice work and a great amp. I've been enjoying mine for the past year and a half as well and wouldn't even think of using anything else. I recently finished up a project iwth Pixar for future release and the studio loved the tone out of this amp! Yes...it's expensive but I tell you, to be able to end the tone quest really made it all worth it. Amazing cleans, great plexi-dirt sound, and 2 over the top heavy distortion modes. I ended up modding mine and it just made it that much better.

  • I can't imagine how you could modify perfection.

  • By modding.....I mean the footswitch for changing the modes, not the sound. It's perfect in that regard!

  • Haha oh okay that's what I thought. You can't perfect a perfect piece of German engineering.

  • This or a mesa boogie mk 5?!

  • The Einstein easy, man, I have my friends brand new Einstein here and it kills! So fun to play, and it sounds so good! Unfortunately it will only be here for a dayor two, he is selling it for $2000 because he is hard up for cash! I would hate to pay full price for a Diezel then sell it a ferw weeks later for $1500 lss than I paid for it!

  • Yes times are rough and gear is not a commodity everyone can enjoy right now unfortunately.. your demo is excellent btw..

  • Best Einstein video on Youtube, Your other demos are not that bad either

  • Resolution - Andy Timmons

Awsome playing and awsome amp. Keep on the good work.

  • what was that first song you played?

  • Andy Timmons stuff!!

I was expecting mindless shred like in most other demo vids of lead weighted amplifiers.

    Awesome playing!

  • hey is the lead sound just the amp or some extra pedal also in the mix, like delay or stuff..

or is this JUST The einstein?? really that would be amazing

  • The lead stuff is just the amp with a delay in the loop.

  • man, this amp would be PERFECT if they included a footswitch to change modes i the first channel... i will tell them they should make a 30 watt combo version and include this switch.. maybe they will, i guess they do custom stuff.

  • There's actually a mod available that can do exactly that. I have all the parts but haven't got around to doing it yet. Should be excellent.

  • I have a 101B and Knwo you do too! I have a straight 4x12 like you. If you had to have ONE, XTC or Einstien?

  • I actually traded my XTC for a IIC+, which I then sold.

But I would chose the Einstein. The XTC is incredible but something about the Einstein really does it for me. Better cleans and heavy tones plus the lead tones, which I personally prefer. The mid-gain on the Einstein is also excellent but the XTC perhaps has the edge here. That Blue channel is hard to beat.

    Hope this helps.

  • Bow down, sell your soul to me

    I´ll set you free

    and pacify your demons

    ;-)

  • Man I gotta say to hear you whip out some Timmons right off the bat sure wasn't what I expected from this video. It sounded almost identical to the Stiletto/Lonestar setup. In a blind test I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

  • Haha, thanks man!

  • What title is the one you played that I think is the theme from Mesa website. I want to search for the tabs for it. Cheers.

  • ive never heard a diezel before today. quite amazing. i had heard they were strictly metal. i would have to say this one could cover just about anything..

  • Comment removed

  • Tone=Diezel, Splawn, and Bogner amps. (according to merriam webster) Love the sounds your getting! Awesome chops by the way!

  • Love that amp, also a great song by Andy Timmons

  • I have sat in that chair.

  • Don't you feel special.

  • Very.

  • Its pretty good recording quality and i love the tone already. Does it sound softer in real life? A bit less fuzz? I think I want to sell my brunetti xl r-evo and get this amp.

  • how would you compare the Einstein to the Mark IV?

  • Superb tone.

This doesn't have the sterile metal tone that the Diezel Herbert tends to have.

  • nice improv on the day that never comes. haha. nice amp. and good job on that other tallica song u played. i know it, just cant think of the name right now. all nightmare long? haha. well good job. and once again, nice amp.

  • is it the 100 or 50 watt model?

  • really really nice tone! sounds very good, all channels!

  • Finally got rid of the JP6, eh? :D

  • gotdamn that's tasty!! i like it more than the vh4, simply because i'd never use That mUch GAIN.. i just like to rock nice and dirty like. What a dream machine...

  • I am beyond jealous.

  • that was helpful but I can't find any tabs for it...dammit...

  • what is that @ :44?

that a song or original? If it's a song, whats hte name...

  • It's Andy Timmons - Resolution

  • awesome, thanks...nice playing btw...

  • Great sounds man! I would really like to watch a video of a comparison between the diezel and the mesa boogie ( is that one a roadster or a roadking? )

    Cheers

  • Sounds awesome! Is this the 50 or 100 watt?

  • Gecko!!! Awesome demo man. it's mlkIII from HC and tgp.

  • hey man!!! sounds great!! awesome playing!!

do you know wich speakers came in your bogner cabinet?this is a 4x12?regards from brazil!!

  • very good andy timmons playing :)

  • beautiful at around 30! any chance of tabs?

  • yes there is as long as there are really cool people like me. ;-) send me a message.

  • 100w?

  • great tone!!! i got a 100w einstein too and i'm very glad of it. because of the lot of power i use it without the inner fuse to use it with half power. you got the same tone at half volume.try it!!!

  • resolution sounds great! Nice tone...

  • SICK TONE, BRO!

  • Meh, you're obviously trying to sound like Neil Young or Tiny Tim or something. Love the Diezel amp though.

  • Wow, one of the best demo's on youtube. So smooth. I'll talk to you over on tgp or HC. I wanted to see more of your guitar too.

  • Sounds great much better than the Mark c+, IMO. Perfect match with the Bogner cab. Maybe you will keep this for awhile?

  • Thanks, that's the intention!

  • nice

  • Sounded really great in all areas & ya playing was really spot on. ;-)

  • Awesome man! Love the Timmons lick. The amp sounds as mean as I said it looks!

    Congrats!

  • Thx for the demo!

  • This sounds fucking killer.

  • That lead channel sounds fuckin' killer. Nice Judas Kiss riff. Thats the best riff of the whole song. I may have to look into an Einstein later down the line. Haha.

  • lol ... you just can't stop huh?

  • Very nice. Ive had a hard on for a diezel for a while. Do you like it better than the bogner 101b?
