me and a mate are doing a trip from newcastle hunter valley to uluru very soon and I was just doing some research on the drive. I love this video, makes me want to do the whole film thing. how did you keep the batteries charged on camera / computer?? car charger or inverter??
On the way out of Melbourne for the first part of the trip, the trees on the side of the road look like they are planted as opposed to a natural woods, and just there to border the road, is that true? What is the predominant species? I was curious.
Plus in the desert, the vegetation seems to be predominantly one type of scrubby bush or low tree, what is that? Just curious, since they looked different than what I am familiar with.
Roadside trees in the first part of the video are mostly Australian natives - Box Ironbarks, Yellowgum and Redgum with some Whitegum, Willow and others throw in being the minority. These are not planted but the result of roads being cut through and the surrounding land being cleared for farming.
Awesome video, and what music is this?

Nice. In US terms that's NY to Texas... as the crow flies.
