heavy handed?? it would be heavy handed if alcohol was banned altogether, or restricted to drinking only in your home or in a restaurant etc. Also alcohol does not NECESSARILY makes a person aggresive or unsocial.. but that is what usually ends up happening if you dont keep it within limits. This law is favorable to the masses, may be not to alcoholics like yourself!

I see your point, but I still think it's a shame that the majority of people who drink and do keep within their limits are tarred with the same brush as drunks. I would say that someones limit was defined by the point at which they became antisocial or aggressive.

This is another step towards the law eventually excluding alchohol from anywhere but restaurants and homes, which you yourself admit would be heavy handed... We are almost at that point already.
