  • instead of application sharing i have port forwarding help?

  • Think I might try this even though I get the feeling of fucking my computer up, if that were to happen my dad will have a period over the floor

  • pointless question:How Come Yours Says Application Sharing Mine Says Port Forwarding?.

  • @1xGregorx1 Same thing, different name.

  • i got to homehyb avdanced setting but there is no application sharing button and when i look in a-z of settings there is no application sharing

  • how to you get to this hub manager?!

  • @ukTopMusic Description.

  • @ukTopMusic Go to your browser. Type in

    192.168.1.254 and press enter

More memorable way (but may cause problems if you have custom DNS servers):

    ht tp:// bthomehub.home

  • I remember the last isp i had it was as easy as clicking Open Nat.

  • does this wok on ps3?

  • @Dan1428Gaming No PS3 use different ports.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ So it does work just you type in diffrent port numbers.

  • @shandytrailers No, you need the right port numbers.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ it does work just you type in the PS3 port numbers

  • @harrisboy42 Yep you are definately dumb, 7:32 and there is a link to part 2, welldone idiot. :)

  • thanx this has been annoying me for a long time

  • once i click apply it comes up with a password i type it in correctly but it doesnt come up with it as applied

  • on white homehub I get the message

    Validation failed for (trigger port)

The Value should be in the range of 1-65535

    Please correct and try again

    :(

  • @mrqwerty123456 Yes, you leave it blank, don't enter a trigger port.

  • Thank you very much, words cannot explain how greatful i am to you thank you for this awesome tutorial

  • @swiftylord101 haha, no probs :D

  • Hi, all set up and xbox live works fine. I take it this should reduce lag and me keep getting disconnected from parties.

  • Is they a way to do this for two xbox's?, when I tried to do the same thing twice, for my oter xbox it says I can not do it, because the port setting conflict

  • How do I know which device is my 360 :/ theres like 20 different random ip addresses when I try to add it to the app sharing.

  • @XC0MB4TXEV0LV3D I don't know you will have to turn off the xbox 360 when looking at the list of MAC addresses, which ever one dissapears you know which is which.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ Odd, everything is located when I turn them on besides the xbox. It's not even shown as connected to the hub but I've been using it on thee for months hmmm.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ will the port numbers be the same for PS3? I'm guessing the answer is no, can you help?

    Thanks.

  • @missabmg Nope there not, check the PS3 website, it will tell you there ports.

  • @Dasakira Glad it worked. :)

  • Hello, I have the white hub, folowed all steps, even the one in notifications on the second part, worked great for 2 weeks or so but its gone back to strict, any advice/help?

  • @USBwire1 I am not too sure, did you check on home network, click the xbox 360 IP address, and then do "always assign this IP address?" you got to tick yes and then apply changes.

  • it does not work and i have done it 4 times.i checked everything 3 times wasted hours and on the 4th go i lost the ability to connect to the router at all i had to do a factory reset.i think you made this video to stress people out

  • @TerryMMA85 No you clearly never followed the end steps if it did not work. :S It works for a lot of people, your just unlucky and you may have the white hub?

  • @TRaGiiKzZ no i have a black hub.but i have fixed it now all i did was go from ethernet cable to wireless as my slim model has it built in and now i have open nat everything works fine so to anyone out there use wireless

  • @TRaGiiKzZ What's wrong with the white hub? Does that not work?

  • @Skepsis0Metal it does work but instead of adding a '0' on the trigger utp, you leave it blank on the white homehub.

  • thanks mate really helped alot ive been trying to fix it for weeks now i got so fed up i decided to search on youtube and it really works great now

  • @tyetorres no problem :)

  • @TRaGiiKzZ Yea mine are set like that, even when i go into it now to double cheack i aint being a numtpy lol it's set at to always use it :S:S

  • Do you have to connect the xbox to the router via ethernet cable to do all this?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey. This work's awesome.. almost lol It work's for me but only say maybe for a wk. I've had to redo it like 4 time's now :S Why does it keep resetting?!

  • @Charmaflu Ok, go into the hub manager, click on "Home Network" find the xbox 360 port codes you made, scroll down and click "Always assign this IP adress". It's on the tutorial also.

  • its not coming up wid my xbox :( plz help :/

  • @Charmaflu if you have built in wireless use that and it will be open nat

  • I don't have the Trigger Protocol/Port options. Whats going on?

  • @Sm1rky91 Read the description, it will tell you.

  • for the second time in as many months you are my hero lol...every time the damn home hub updates it fucks me right up with this NAT shit...anyway not going to lose this great tutorial again...favourited. Thanks alot mate.

  • @mooseinator194 haha no problem :)

  • i followed every step on this video. i previously followed the tutorial and my nat type went from moderate to open. that was roughly 2 weeks ago. i had to reset my hub to default and now when i put the port numbers in it wont change from moderate to open even though it did previously and i followed the exact same steps this time and last time around. anyone help?? please?? haha

  • @lukeyluke121 Yeah, this happens sometimes, it's probably given you a 162 IP when you want a 192 IP adress, basically you will need to reset the hub once more, do the tutorial again and hope it works, if that don't fix it, try the red steps at the end, still no luck, try resetting one more time, it will work trust me, I had this problem too.

  • I don't understand how you have a Xbox360ports application, I don't have one, just one that say Xbox360. Am I doing something wrong? Also when I select xbox360 (assuming that is the same as your Xbox360ports??) I don't know which device to use. I turned my 360 on and off as you said but nothing went grey or said connected or disconnected. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • @mashedup1987 :S I just named mine Xbox360ports, your not following the tutorial properly, after you made the port codes you name it whatever you want, re-do the tutorial and follow it carefuly.

  • when you get to application sharing you dont show how to turn on the xbox option, i got stuck their coz i didnt know what to do, on yours it's like you already got it saved as an option

  • @UKiFuZioNz Not at all, it should already be there. Make sure your xbox 360 is turned on.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ my xbox 360 was turned on wen i tried...

  • @UKiFuZioNz Then you might have to turn off the hub and turn it back on, if not luck reset the hub and do the tutorial. That will work.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ tried both of them and neither worked :(

  • @UKiFuZioNz Then I am not too sure, ring BT and try and figure out the problem, they should know.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ nahh there's no point, i only wanted to do this because i lag a litte when i play online and thought it might help, i do hav an open NAT but that doesnt stop lag

  • @UKiFuZioNz Ohh it, don't stop the lag lol. That will be your internet connection, speedtest, net and have a look at your speed, it could be low if not, not too sure, then I would ring up BT.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ it is 8mgb per second, i think its just my xbox coz i never used to lag then one day BOOM!!! laggy as hell

  • @TRaGiiKzZ This doesnt seem to work with me, i keep getting a conflict message, how do i fix this?

  • @Eythan1234 Reset the router, so IP's wont conflict. Then do the tutorial.

  • go to the activision website for all port numbers, its as easy as that!!!

  • How do I find the codes for PS3?

  • @Blacknwhite86 Try google or something, not too sure.

  • You are a legend mate, thankyou very much :)!!!!

  • @MrConnor2701 Thanks :)

  • does this work for ps3 aswell? :D

  • @TheBadVideoGamer Nope, PS3 have different Port codes.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ Ok Cheers =)

  • does it make a difference if u have the bt home hub 2.0??

  • @sethcooper77 The one I am doing it on is BT homehub 2.0 and the other version is the white one, if you got the white one look at the description and it will say some important bits you gotta do.

  • @obiwanhead not too sure give it a try

  • DOES IT WORK ON PS3?

  • @seamyhlad no.

  • :) it worked, thanks

  • @MasterBSM No problem! :) Glad it worked.

  • I did this step by step and nothing happens? I have double checked the port codes and there all correct. I checked my NAT type and is still says closed. What do I do now?

  • @JBoyce1992 Not too sure, reset it and start again, I don't know... You sure you disabled the hub's firewall?

  • My NAT type used to be moderate and kept changing from 1 Bar to 2 Bars to 3 Bars and then backwards, then I did this but without Port Forwarding and it now sais NAT Type: Open but It still goes from 1 Bar to 2 Bars ect...

  • @TheMrDoylee Lol, it's your signal if your wireless ofcourse and go on speedtest and it will tell you your internet speed, it might be too low and if you are using a router or something, it will be probably be the problem.

  • I dont have a hub manager so how do i do it

  • @JackX1997X Yes you do, type 192.168.1.254 that into the address bar and the hub manager will open up.

    Please read description next time.

  • @racismsuckswarsucks Read description.

  • not working for me little help please? :( application part isnt working :S

  • @ScottishXbiatch What you mean 'isnt working', what is the message saying ?

  • @ScottishXbiatch never mind got it working thanks :)

  • will this work on a ps3 as im getting NAT strict even though my type is set at type 2

Call of duty black ops mostly

  • @leef0324uk Same here :( Did you get to fix it? :P

  • @JakePollock1 no ive rang BT but they are being bloody arses im still trying to configure it but bare with me as

ive got a BT engineer coming round hope that helps play pure and private matches easy ive had no trouble on

Battlefield Bad Company 2 or any other ps3 Game Activision need thier Ass's Kicked m8

Merry xmas anyway add me on psn leef69uk

  • what can i do ive tried every password, admin, the no. on the back of my router?!

  • @gsmith12 Reset the whole hub and try and go onto the hub manager again and you can set a new password.

  • @gsmith12 Try username admin password admin1

  • @michaeljacksonrocks0 Your clearly retarded and did not even do the tutorial properly.

  • hi, really good vid but do u know how i can run 2 xboxes through 1 bt homehub2 at the same time, kids are doing my nut in about this, thanks, every time i try it i get port conflicts

  • @stevedangerp What you have to do is, if it says conflicting, you will have to reset the whole hub, it's nothing bad and then you can reset it, then it should not say conflicting if it does it again, re-try it but if it happens again apparently their is something wrong with the hubs fireware so I am not too sure on it.

Then do the tutorial for BOTH xbox 360's seperately.

  • does this work for playstation

  • @wez197 Nope.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ can you make one for the ps3?

  • @kulizhka Nope sorry, I don't have a PS3.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ thanks but if you find a way to do it with the ps3 can you please tell me:)

  • how do i know what the user name is? you say the pw is admin but im not sure of the user name, cheers.

  • @robjpowell

    that's also admin.

  • yeh mate i done evrything up to where u go on the thing to find the unknown with ip but i have 3 different 1s n none say xbox so what should i do? thanks.

  • @MatthewAndJamesTV Turn off the xbox 360 and whatever one says not detected is the xbox one, then turn it back on and it will say detected.

  • im not sure if you guys can help but i have huge problem with my xbox connection, my rents have to foreign students staying at my house, and is robbing my internet and is obviously downloading music, films etc, is there any way i can have a decent internet connection?

using the bt homehub, another problem the homehub is not installed to my pc and the students just type a password in to access the internet

  • @Gems36TY Yes, ring up BT, tell them your problem and they will add a new password on their for you.

  • Fantastic movie, did the trick perfectly, was struggling to find games on black ops, this video fixed it for me, thanks TRaGiiKzZ

  • @goblinrio No problem. :D

  • and the description is where?

  • @8ball1986 The description is where? lol. Under my video.

  • @ryan11999944 You clearly did something wrong.

You copied the end steps at the end? If you want, reset the actual hub and try again and make sure you have not missed out on any of the steps, I know a few people keep skipping forward but if you did, you miss a lot of steps. Watch the whole thing, if you need more help Private Message me or leave a comment here, *Note, Private messaging me, you will get a quicker response.

  • how do you open your home hub manager?

  • @bradthornton123 Read the description, it's their.

  • Are the ports the same as the PS3?

  • @rajja92 Don't work for PS3, I would never make such a tutorial for PS3 I hate that console :D

But I will have a look, but it dont im pretty sure.

  • Can you do this for PS3?

    If so, how? "/

  • @rajja92 No you cant, as far as I know.

  • I have a slightly different interface for the home hub but you helped soooo much, its probably lucky I don't know you or you would get a big homoerotic kiss!

  • @nickc7891 lool, glad it worked.

  • you are a hero! if you are wireless you pick the wireless conection btw for people who are confused about the physical part

  • Comment removed

  • how do u get onto hub manager?

  • @mrcrips96 read the DESCRIPTION.

  • the password isnt admin :'(

  • @MrBradboi94 password is on the back of your hub :)

  • @MrBradboi94 then reset the hub and you can choose your password

  • @FRAC30 Good, you obviously did something wrong.

  • seriously still cant connect...

    i hate you!

    xD

if i change to O2 or sky will it work again?

  • @FRAC30 Sky you don't usually need to portforward only with BT as it has a strict security tbh, but just do this tutorial and follow the end steps on video part 2. If it don't work reset your hub and try one more time.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ Pffft i tried for 2 days :( im getting a wired connection tomorrow (that works) and changing to sky next week

oh i still have a strict NAT on wired :( but im not going to try and fix it again xD

  • @FRAC30 Ok, your clearly doing something wrong I am not quite sure what.

  • @FRAC30 i deleted a bunch of stuff trying to fix it :( but i might try again with my wired connection... and im on the white hub so i improviseed at a few bits LOL i never read the whole description

  • @FRAC30 Ok, well read the desc and on the trigger port leave it as blank.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ its all good now... thanks i guess xD

  • i love you! i would have never found out how to do it without this.. but every now and then it changes back to strict i just use this again but is there anyway to keep it open?

  • @liamsmithmate Yeye, go on application sharing and go on the xbox I.P and make sure you tick the box that says 'Always use this I.P address'.

  • I have my 360 connected to my PC in my room which is wirelessly connected to the BT hub. Is there any way I can make my 360's NAT open instead of strict, without making my PC vunerable?

  • @soundwrks Nope, your PC is not really vunreble, it's your Home Hub, but it's the only way to get it working, nobody can get on your homehub, trust me.

  • worked first time. THANKS!!!!

  • @looneyacorn no probs

  • When I go on application sharing and turn on my xbox with xbox live up and running it doesn't say anything about it on the screen...

  • @TheCountCrumpet Hmm, try resetting the hub and try again then.

  • is this done with a wirelessly connected xbox or ethernet connected xbox cuz my mate cant get his to work due to it being wired :/

  • @LLTbugs Wired or Wireless.

  • Thanks it works :)

  • my pass is not admin or my S/N i and no one has changed it

  • @buba0k Get a pen, and reset the hub. It wont do anything bad and then you can choose a password, simple, read description.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ how

  • Can't you just choose the application 'xbox live' from the list?

    I'm about to try though...

  • @rogueWhippet Nope the portcodes assigned to 'xbox live' are old and useless.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ

    So that's why it doesn't work!#

    Might try this then.

    BT Homehubs are utter shiite

  • Ports don't really mean much anymore. Port forwarding means that your router is familiar with the device that you forward. It does NOT open your NAT. I have a HomeHub, and I fucking hate it. It just does NOT EVER want to open. And I did do this before.

  • @Solarstance1 Lol, portfowarding don't mean much? Yes it does open your hub, do some research if you wish. Since you said you tried this before, follow my end troubleshooting steps at the end of part 2. Then if that don't work, reset your hub and try one more time.

  • @TRaGiiKzZ Well, either they do, or my router is short circuiting. My router has been a PAIN IN THE FUCKING ASSHOLE lately. xD

  • @Solarstance1 Yah, get the black homehub if you haven't already and redo the tutorial afterwards or do it now and then do the end steps I added. They usually work if you didn't get it working first time 'round.

  • you are a god

  • holy shit its still not working my friend :( i opend all the ports and then presses restart on the router. restarted my xbox and still STRICT nat settings :/ holy shit im so pissed of. plz help its been 3 weeks now. it worked fine before :(

  • @stefisking Yes, then follow the end steps of my tutorial, you need to go to the dashboard once it's all done and it's still not working, so read the last part and it will work.

  • i use ethernet to connect my xbox through my laptop which is how i get on Live and everything works apart from the NAT is on scrict. i think i have literally tryed every solution trying to make it open including this port forwarding but i must be going wrong somewhere >:(

when i port forward which device should i be connecting to (with a wired connection)?...

  • ...i thought it would probably be the main computer where my homebub is and connected to but it doesn't work and i cant connect it to the 360 directly cos the only one that appears is the 360's mac address which is for my wireless adaptor which i don't use. help?

  • @oGeMmAo I don't know, sorry.

  • @oGeMmAo Preferably a wired connection but if you do it wireless, look at the troubleshooting steps at the end of part 2. That will definately work if you got wireless.

  • does this work 4 ps3 because if its for xbox only i dont wanna fuck up my internet

  • @sethcooper77 Only for xbox 360.

  • Hey nice video, but I was wondering I port forwarded my xbox so it would have a better connection, like I did the DMZ and stuff and it made it much better, is this the same? and I have a gaming pc with steam and source games like css hl2d, and I need to port forward my pc so I can create servers any idea how to?

  • @cookiekurke Ermm, well these portcodes are only for xbox 360, so you will have to find the portcodes for certain games, such as google.

  • i do this but then like three weeks later it goes back to what it was

  • @morrisonltop then that means the I.P changed, make it so it says 'Always use this I.P address'

  • @TRaGiiKzZ how on earth do i do that. :0 :)

  • @morrisonltop ... It's on the tutorial.
