Apparently, the strict media agreements with both parties over the lively debate coverage has required them to remain silent on stories like this one or on the violence outside the RNC. I hope that it is not because they are gagged by apathy or prejudices against the protestors. Brutality is nowhere on the job description of a law enforcement official. And if memory serves me correctly, one of the five rights under the 1st amendment is the right to peacefully protest. Iraq Veterans Against the War get their message out - PEACEFULLY.

What most fail to realize is that riots are caused by the officers using violence and violating the rights of people who are there to stand for their rights. It is a planned effect of the ones in control with the sticks.
