It would be super slow, you can't really run much applications or games with only 333MHz and 64MB of RAM, and not having a hardware keyboard would be a major limitation.

MAYBE the first Starcraft, but the FPS would probably be around 10.

@Speculantscooter Not only that but the PSP DOSBOX can only access the first 9 MB of RAM for a PSP Slim. Its a total of 4 MB of RAM for a PSP Fat.

The rest is wasted. :-/

Would this be faster if I ask ardatan to apply the high mem mod to this? So that the psp uses all its ram. Ardatan gave me the source code and is going to teach me how to do this myself.

There is a keyboard available. It is just a bit complicated for now. You can take a look at the pic of the keyboard buttons on the forum in the PSP DosBox Development thread. There is room for improvement though. :)

There is a ready-made download in the first page of the thread under PSP DosBox Development. ;) Just simply extract it to GAME or GAME150 on your memory stick. If you still need help, just post a new thread under PSP Help and we'll help you out right away. :D

Bwhahaha, just kidding, already tried it and works OK in PSP Fat with 3.90 M33. It runs much better than Bochs, the first X86 emulator for PSP.

I'ts priceless to see a BSOD on PSP.

Just curious, but is it possible to run newer OS's on PSP slim to? Or is it too resource dependable? I couldn't imagine vista on PSP

It might be possible. Check out The Windows XP PSP Project in the forum for the progress on porting the actual Windows XP to the psp. There are a few problems that exist but they are very close. So far they made it boot all the way until the loading screen of XP.

You need to have a custom firmware installed on your psp. Just extract it to PSP/GAME. ;)

What firmware did you run Bochs on. For some reason I can't convert the bochs 1.0 eboot to 1.5, and No-kxploit doesn't work for me either. I can't convert bochs to 1.5 no matter what. Please help me out. Could you send me a 1.5 ready bochs folder please?
