  • You're my hair idol girl! I'm APL now, and my hair is similar to yours. I can't wait until I'm MBL.

I loved what you sad about beng natural, texlax, and relax. It's so true.

  • Your hair looks gorgeous! I was wondering, compared to your older videos, your hair hair in the more recent ones looks shinier, silkier, and smoother, did you start using a certain product to get it to look like that or perhaps you got a new camera or something like that? Your hair lookes awesome in your older vids but is just no words can describe it in the newer ones.

  • @SoftNSweetG I can only guess the shine could be from the Sally's silk infusion knock off. That is the serum I use now due to the price of CHI.

  • .Mrs Raines I finally mastered the cross wrap after 2 months

  • Try Enjoy product, the green line and/or Aveda for growing purpose. You can find Enjoy at Planet Beauty store or in other fancy beauty stores. I don't know if you have Planet Beauty in Florida. In southern California, there is in every corner. Or try online. If the product does do what promises, just return or exhange the product

  • if you dont have long hair but

    how would you crosswrap it

would u do the same thing

  • Same way, I would just use bobbi pins where needed.

  • I am currently trying to grow my hair back so I appreciate the tips and advice. I'm taking to heart that I can shampoo my hair twice a week. I have dry scalp and have a lot of dandruff. Someone told me that it could be because my hair grows fast...who knows. But shampooing twice per week will at lease help mask that issue. The cross-wrapping is great also. What shampoo have you found to be helpful for your hair?

    Thanks again!

  • @romeyswife Suave Humectant or Tressemmee moisture rich.

  • Thanks for the Haul!! People need to understand their hair is not the same as yours. I take advice from you, and have no problem with finding the products that you use. However, I still explore my options and buy products that I feel would be beneficial for my hair as well. You just have to use your best judgements, and if you buy something that don't work for your hair move on to the next best thing. Take care Mrs. Raines

  • Great video ! tons of Thanks

  • Wow, I have never heard of "cross-wrapping" hair.

  • Your hair is growing!

  • there are many videos about various products. You can decide if the person giving review maybe has similar hair or issues as you and slowly try a few do not jump out try something every other week, cause you can tell in the short time. I have started to wash my hair a little less cause it is cold here in Philly but you have to do you !

  • I love your lip color!! What color combo is that??

  • You are a big help to everybody who would like to listen and learn. I always enjoy your vids and all of your great information. Your hair looks gorgeous and ready for the season. Thanks take care.

  • i like this video. i want to start moisturizing my hair but dont know what to use. i have black/ethnic hair. what are some good hair products for my kind of hair...

  • Please check out my video on "Products for dry hair". Thanks!

  • luv the new hair. it makes u look much younger. although ur young anyway. u know 30's the new 20 =)

  • Hi! I'm natural again after relaxing my hair for the past 4 years. I just wanted to say that I enjoy each and every one of your videos because I feel like you give good tips on taking care of hair in general, no matter what state it's in. I have benefitted from your tutorials on moisturizing, retaining length, roller sets, etc. Thank you and keep 'em coming!!

  • So true! I'm a white curly and I am Mrs. Raines' biggest fan. I was relaxed in the past, but I didn't find it easier to maintain and I had a lot of breakage. Now sometimes I roller set and saran wrap, sometimes I twist-out, I just love the variety :) I knew roller sets before, but saran wrap (the cheater's way, lol) cross-wraps and twist-out I learned from Mrs. Raines.

  • I would also like to know where I can find that neat wrap thingy. Thank you for the work you put in

  • Wow I used to use Surge all the time. I did like that line alot. I may have to look it up next time I'm at the BSS. Thanks for taking me back.

  • Does anyone have any suggestions for co washing cause my last one didn't go so well lol ( prolly cause I used that aphogee), but I have a really good conditioner that i love I just need some suggestions on how to do a cowash.

  • @martinnicole83 it's really just about using a good conditioner to "wash" your hair with. herbal essense long term relationship is really moisturizing

  • Hey mama your hair is so beautiful. I know the you live in fl my too where did you get surge?

  • I feel you on that situation with your hubby. My hubby doesn't like me wearing wigs either but he was soooo patient and understanding when I explained to him about the reason why. My hair is the healthiest it's ever been and I'm still on the grow! Thanks for all your informative videos!

  • I believe many of us appreciate all the time you invest in teaching us how to take care of our hair. You don't have to do this so thank you very much! :0)

  • that wrap you put on your head after you crosswrapped....the velcro one. is it silk or what material. do they make silk ones. where did you get it. love your videos, thanks.

  • excellent vid. thanks!

  • how are you using the surge?? do you seal or hot oil?

  • SOOOOO true my hair has really thrived since i co wash and deep condition mid week and no sulfate poo deep condition weekens i am almost grazing bsl i will be there by summer 2010...

IM IN MY blanca where u at ...lol

  • I feel you on a lot of things. Sometimes you have to experiment and find what works. I tried aphogee and in my opinion the product is no good. It caused dryness despite maintaining protein/moisture balance.

  • I agree I tried aphogee and it did more harm than good especially that funky smelling protein stuff. I've had friends that have used it and liked it but for me I actually lost length.

  • Same here! It gave my hair an incredible slip, but apparently no moisture. I didn't know the difference back then in July, so I kept using it for a month. Sigh...

  • How do you stop breakage??

  • You did that cross wrap so easy. Your hair looks very nice.

  • Never mind u answered my question!!

  • I don't know if you've ever asked this question but, have u ever thought about going natural?

  • thanks for the info... thanks for sharing tex lax... now thats all i do

  • I learned how to cross wrap a few months ago from your old video. I love wrapping my hair that way now. It's not a lot of brushing and stress on my edges which I love and it holds my style better than the original wrap. Thanks for sharing how to do it!

  • Always love your videos.

  • yeaaa i hate when ppl say my hair wont grow. ur hair is always going to grow... u just have to keep the length. people should be more concerned with their ends instead of roots.

but thanks for the advice, i just left u a comment about leave-ins lol.

  • Awesome video; lovin' your hair.

  • Thats a good idea to not seal at night sometimes. Question where did you get your paddle brush?

  • I love the Surge products!!! I buy the #9 oil all the time and i brought the Surge soybean olive oil in the jar last week! I wish I could find the Surge Plus 14 Revitalizer

  • yeah , I was going to get that long time ago,but i for got . lol They say the product is good. I love your hair, and I am on my way to at least half your length. Lol
