I'm friends with one of the drummers (Kent Eaton), he lives in the Netherlands now and runs a site for alternative education. I got him back in touch with the guitarist and I believe he lives in Illinois.
I had the pleasure of hearing "Grains of Sand" perform in 1967 at Los Angeles Harbor College. Believe me they were the best live band I've ever heard. At a concert on the football field they played as an opening band for "The Sunshine Company". They were able to create the tightest live music I've ever heard. To this day I still can't see why they didn't make it big. Does anyone know what happened to the members of the band? I'd love to hear from you.
@SuperSCDude It's a high compliment indeed when somebody says "they were the best live band I've ever seen" or however you said it. Wow. Have you seen a lot of rock shows? Did you ever find out what happened to the band members? I've never heard this cut before...yea, they were good. joel in tucson

@SuperSCDude i have a site "the bands of the 60S" that i can forward to you. it has a full bio as well as some band info of were there are now if you would like????
WMG may no longer own the rights to this. let's hope. I had a problem with a few of my vids. I just reuploaded it and so far have had no problems. The Grains Of Sand had two other releases. One on Phiilips and a really small label. Not sure what the name of the label was. Most likely a local west coast label.
awsame sound, sounds a little bit like the red crayola ++

There is rumored to be another single they did and no master exists. The search is on.
By the way, at this writing, Happy by The Blades of Grass is loading. Thought you'd want to know.
